Re-auction of the right to use the B2- B2 frequency band

The Minister of Science and Technology has just issued a Plan to re-organize the auction of radio frequency usage rights for the 713-723 MHz and 768-778 MHz bands (B2-B2' band block) for relevant units and businesses to know and implement.

Within 30 days from the date the Ministry of Science and Technology publicly announces the Auction Plan, organizations wishing to participate in the auction of the above-mentioned radio frequency usage rights must submit a request for confirmation of meeting the conditions for participating in the auction to the Ministry of Science and Technology (Department of Telecommunications) through one of the following methods: via the online public service system or by post or in person.

Applications not submitted within the above deadline will not be accepted and processed.

Previously, the B2-B2' frequency block was scheduled to be auctioned at 2:00 p.m. on February 21, 2025, but because only one enterprise participated in the auction, the auction was unsuccessful and had to be reorganized.

The B2-B2' frequency band has a starting price of over VND 1,955 billion. The B2-B2' frequency band is planned to deploy mobile information systems according to the IMT-Advanced (4G) standard and subsequent versions. The term of the frequency band license is 15 years.
