Ms. Giang graduated from the Faculty of SpecialEducation , University of Education (University of Danang). During her student years, she often came to the center to support the students there in their studies. “Starting from those feelings, I wanted to accompany and stick with the students after graduation and have never regretted this decision,” Ms. Giang shared.
With all her perseverance, efforts to overcome difficulties and love for children, Ms. Giang gradually learned from her colleagues, improved her professional skills, researched and found suitable teaching methods. During 15 years working at the center, Ms. Giang has many good initiatives such as: making Braille stories for visually impaired students, a model of learning math with pictures for hearing impaired students, applying information technology in teaching, and being a contributor to translating the textbooks of the 2018 General Education Program into Braille.
Ms. Giang said that at that time, the center did not have a laser printer, so to make the images stand out, teachers had to cut and paste them manually. Although it was difficult and tiring, the teachers worked hard day and night to create illustrations so that students could touch and feel them.
To have a good lesson, Ms. Giang always has separate methods, suitable for each type of disability in the class. For the visually impaired boarding students, she is like a second mother, taking good care of them. She said, teaching children to integrate requires teachers to be truly dedicated and love children to be able to do their job well. Not only must teachers be proficient in professional skills, they must also use their own love to understand and encourage the children.
Ms. Giang told a story about a student whose family refused to let her learn Braille. Before, she had bright, sparkling eyes, but they gradually turned white without her or her family knowing. They just thought her eyes were weaker than normal people. I had to convince her family for a whole year. At that time, she was still quietly teaching her Braille. When she said that the first time she met her, she saw her as thin and with long hair, and now she was just a small dot, her family believed her and agreed with me.
In addition to teaching at the center, Ms. Giang also trains teachers in inclusive education at primary schools in the city and some schools in Quang Nam province. She actively participates in activities and movements of the center and the city's education union and has achieved many good results.
In particular, she always spends time sharing professional knowledge with parents, supporting them in caring for and educating children at home. After 10 years of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, Ms. Giang believes that following Uncle Ho should start with specific, simple and persistent actions every day. She herself learns from unconditional love, follows with a high sense of responsibility and perseveres with the motto "teaching with all my heart", not leaving any child behind.
With her efforts and efforts, Ms. Le Thi Giang has achieved the title of grassroots emulation fighter for many consecutive years. In 2019, she was honored to receive the award "Outstanding Da Nang Teacher"; in 2020, she was one of the typical advanced individuals to receive a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training at the 7th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the education sector. Recently, she was awarded a certificate of merit by the Lien Chieu District Party Committee for her outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the period 2016-2025.
