Strengthening supervision of land and environmental management during the period of organizational restructuring

Kinhtedothi - On March 15, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 938/UBND-NNMT on strengthening the supervision of land and environmental management during the implementation of the organizational arrangement of the political system.

Accordingly, in order to effectively implement land and environmental management in the city, the Hanoi People's Committee requests the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to proactively and immediately deploy control measures to prevent the situation of taking advantage of the time to implement the Party and State's policies and guidelines on organizational arrangement to encroach on public land and agricultural land, violating construction and environmental order, such as: burying waste indiscriminately, burning waste, discharging waste in violation of regulations, causing pollution of soil, air and water.

Along with that, promote propaganda and dissemination of laws on land management, environment, and construction order to raise people's awareness of compliance. Strengthen supervision, on-site inspection and establish a mechanism to reflect information from people about violations. Periodically report weekly on the situation and results of the implementation of the above work to the City People's Committee.

The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Construction, and the City Police to strengthen inspections, supervision, and guidance for districts, towns, and cities to detect and strictly handle violations of land and environmental laws, ensuring compliance with legal regulations. Synthesize information and report to the City People's Committee according to regulations; propose to resolutely handle the responsibility of local leaders who let cases of taking advantage of the situation to violate laws on land, environment, and construction occur.
