The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee informed the working delegation about the development orientations of Da Nang until 2030 with a vision to 2045.
The city is focusing on developing three key areas including tourism , services; industry, high technology and logistics.
Especially for tourism activities, Da Nang is considered an attractive tourism environment with many unique and impressive tourism products, along with owning many international-class hotels and resorts.
Among them, Mikazuki Group (Japan) is operating effectively in the city and is also the place many domestic and foreign tourists choose to stay when visiting and traveling in Da Nang.
According to the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, the connection of direct flights between Da Nang and Japanese localities after the Covid-19 pandemic has not yet met expectations.
Through this, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested Chubu Nagoya International Airport (NGO) and Da Nang International Airport (DAD) to speed up the process of realizing a direct flight connecting the two localities to create favorable conditions for tourism, exchange and cooperation, contributing to promoting economic development and strengthening the friendly relationship between Da Nang and Nagayo cities.
Nagoya City Mayor Takashi Kawamura expressed his impression of Da Nang's development in terms of economy, infrastructure and city tourism environment.
At the same time, the two sides proposed to promote the opening of direct flights between the two cities. Since 2019, Chubu Nagoya International Airport has signed a cooperation agreement with Da Nang International Airport. However, the prolonged Covid-19 situation has delayed the cooperation.
Mayor Takashi Kawamura hopes that the Da Nang city government will pay attention and propose that Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air quickly operate direct flights between the two cities.
Besides tourism cooperation, Mayor Takashi Kawamura expressed his wish that Da Nang would cooperate with Nagoya in the fields of aircraft manufacturing, high technology, etc.
