According to Chairman of Cam Le District People's Committee Nguyen Quang Vinh, from the beginning of the year, the District People's Committee focused on drastically and effectively implementing solutions to promote the disbursement of public investment capital according to the allocated plan for 2024; considering this a key political task to create momentum to accelerate the recovery and socio-economic development of the district associated with ensuring quality, fighting negativity, corruption and waste. At the same time, directing branches, units and localities to synchronously deploy solutions to speed up the progress of completing investment procedures, improving the quality of investment preparation, construction progress and disbursement of capital for projects from the beginning of the year; overcoming limitations in slow project implementation and slow disbursement of investment capital.
Director of the Cam Le District Construction Investment Project Management Board Ho Hai Nam said that in 2024, the District People's Committee was assigned to manage 2 new construction projects, including the project to upgrade and renovate Hoang Du Khuong Primary School with an investment cost of 44 billion VND and the project to renovate the sidewalk on Thang Long Street (phase 2) with an investment cost of 30 billion VND... At the same time, speed up the completion and handover of the connecting road from Hoa Tho Tay Ward to Phong Bac residential area, Hoa Tho Dong Ward (Cam Le District) with a total length of more than 3.5km with a total investment cost of more than 178 billion VND before April 30, 2024. In addition, the District People's Committee will deploy the construction and repair of 15 civil works (expected to start in the second and third quarters of 2024) including items such as building new, repairing community houses, storage warehouses, parks and gardens... in the wards of the district. From there soon put into use to serve the people.
According to Mr. Nam, in 2023, the district will complete and put into use 1 project using the city budget (the project to upgrade and expand 3.5 meter and 3.75 meter roads into 5.5 meter roads in Cam Le district). For 54 projects using public funds in the district, up to now, 44 projects have been completed and put into use, the remaining 10 projects are still under construction, expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
“The timely inauguration and putting into use of many civil works such as upgrading and expanding many 3.5 meter and 3.75 meter roads into 5.5 meter roads in Khue Trung ward; at the same time completing 5/10 parks and walking gardens in residential areas south of Cam Le bridge (Hoa Xuan ward), expected to complete and hand over 10/10 works before April 30, 2024; renovating the lighting system in Khue Trung and Hoa An wards; embankments to prevent landslides and renovating and upgrading the road to Gieng Trang cemetery, Hoa Phat ward... have created momentum for socio-economic development,” Mr. Nam shared.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong (Hoa Xuan Ward) said that the investment of the District People's Committee in building parks and walking gardens in the ward has created green spaces, helping people and children have more space to play and entertain. Meanwhile, Ms. Huynh Thi Tra My (Hoa Xuan Ward) said that thanks to the attention of authorities at all levels in investing and building a synchronous technical infrastructure system, spacious streets have created favorable conditions for people's business and trade.
Chairwoman of Hoa Xuan Ward People's Committee Ho Thi Cam Nhung shared that the Ward People's Committee proactively coordinated with relevant sectors to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles in compensation and site clearance (GPMB) work, creating the best conditions for contractors. According to Ms. Nhung, investing and completing key projects early is of key significance in contributing to the appearance of an urban ward, thereby facilitating the economic development process among the people.
According to Chairman of Khue Trung Ward People's Committee (Cam Le District) Nguyen Phuoc Son, the completion of upgrading and expanding many 3.5 meter and 3.75 meter roads to 5.5 meter roads such as Nguyen Thuong Hien, Trinh Hoai Duc, Binh Hoa 8 and Binh Hoa 9 in Khue Trung Ward in the past year not only created favorable conditions for people to travel but also contributed to completing the infrastructure of the area, ensuring access to fire prevention and fighting equipment when an incident occurs. "In 2024, the Ward People's Committee will continue to propose to the District People's Committee to expand the roads from 3.5 meters to 5 meters in Khue Trung - Do Xu Residential Area; propose to renovate and repair degraded community activity houses in the ward," said Mr. Son.
According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, in the coming time, the District People's Committee will continue to direct the acceleration of site clearance work, ensure the right progress of the plan, organize citizen reception to promptly resolve support policies on site clearance and compensation for people and organize to mobilize households to hand over the site. Timely report to the City People's Committee on solutions to remove obstacles in the implementation work in the district. In addition, strengthen close coordination with the District Front and wards to enhance the role of community supervision in the construction process to achieve the set quality and progress.
