Transforming AI from an adversary into a partner.

Jobs that artificial intelligence has now replaced humans in include programming, design, video editing, and translating books and documents.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thai, manager of a fashion brand in Ho Chi Minh City, said that previously it used to take months and cost tens of millions of VND to build a sales website. However, with the LunaBase.ai AI-integrated programming platform, simply by entering commands according to the instructions, including product descriptions and feature suggestions, a relatively complete website can be created in less than 30 minutes.

Replacing humans in many positions.

"With an AI-integrated programming platform, it's possible to create websites without knowing how to write code. This significantly saves businesses time and marketing costs," Mr. Thai commented.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - co-founder and CTO of Luna AI VN Co., Ltd. - introduced this platform, which can create e-commerce websites or applications 10 times faster and save 90% of costs compared to traditional methods. Within 24 hours of its launch, LunaBase.ai recorded 1,200 registrations. In the first week, more than 2,300 projects were initiated, and currently, there are approximately 5,000 users of LunaBase.ai. "The platform is integrated with many different AI Agents, including consulting, design, programming, testing, and operation, based on large model languages such as OpenAI o3," Mr. Hung stated.

Notably, AI is now beginning to replace humans in many creative fields. Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha, a representative of an agricultural product sales company in Ho Chi Minh City, said she has used Google's AI tools to create lively product promotional videos , completing them in just 1-2 hours. "Previously, to make a similar video, we had to spend millions of dong hiring a crew for filming and editing, and wait many days to receive the finished product. Now, we only hire people to film when we need specific videos that AI cannot replace," Ms. Ha explained.

A book publishing company in Ho Chi Minh City, with nearly 40 years of history, recently attracted attention when it announced it would cut 70% of its freelance translators and 30% of its editors after implementing AI. Meanwhile, major banks are also actively deploying AI in customer management and service, with some models optimizing up to 70% of their operational staff.

Globally, the shift from human workforce to AI has been strong. Microsoft announced plans to cut approximately 6,000 jobs; Walmart also announced cuts of 1,500 employees in technology, e-commerce, advertising, and other sectors. The World Economic Forum's "Future of Work 2025" report further reinforces this trend, indicating that 41% of businesses worldwide plan to reduce their workforce by 2030 due to the development of AI, equivalent to 92 million jobs in accounting, human resources, banking, and other fields.

Will a "Office AI" certification be required?

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hien, founder of NewAI Company, believes that AI is entering a period of rapid development with the emergence of AI Agents capable of independent thinking, planning, and action, far exceeding the simple response role of traditional chatbots. In this context, workers need to change their mindset, proactively approach and apply AI instead of fearing being replaced. "AI is no longer a story of the future but has become a part of daily work. The best way to avoid having your job taken by AI is to learn how to use it as a supporting tool to improve efficiency, optimize costs, and increase competitiveness," suggested Dr. Hien.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung also believes that AI will not completely replace programmers, but rather will act as a partner. "Experienced programmers especially need tools like LunaBase.ai to increase speed and efficiency. However, the key role of humans is still needed in system creation, evaluation, and adjustment," Mr. Hung pointed out, noting that the development of AI agents forces all of us to change and adapt.

At a recent conference launching the "Nationwide Emulation Movement for Innovation and Digital Transformation" and "Digital Literacy for the Popular" in the banking sector, a representative from VietinBank stated that in the near future, bank employees will need a "Office AI" certification – equivalent to the previous office computer skills certification. This requirement aims to help employees effectively use AI to improve productivity and better serve customers.

Not only AI, but robots are also becoming a prominent technological trend, widely applied in many fields to improve service quality and customer experience. Nam A Commercial Bank, Arobid Technology Joint Stock Company, Vedax Company Limited, etc., have incorporated robots into their operations as part of their digitalization strategy.

Nabe Suki restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City uses robots to assist with ordering and receiving food from the kitchen counter, then delivering it to customers' tables. Restaurant staff say the robots increase convenience, enhance the customer experience, and add a modern touch. However, the devices still have limitations, such as the inability to directly pick up food, a lack of flexibility in responding to unforeseen situations, and the need for human assistance and control.

AI is destroying this job, creating another opportunity.

Billionaire Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba – a leading Chinese conglomerate – once predicted that in the near future, up to 50% of current jobs could disappear due to the impact of AI. He specifically identified six professions that are likely to disappear soon if workers do not adapt quickly, including translators and interpreters, drivers, intermediaries, assembly line workers, service staff, and bank employees.

In fact, AI and robots are replacing humans in some jobs, especially repetitive tasks that require little creativity or complex thinking, such as assembly line production, data entry, or basic customer service. It frees humans from tedious, dangerous, and strenuous work. On the other hand, AI is also creating many new jobs, particularly in fields such as technology development, data analysis, AI system management, and creative industries. History shows that technology often destroys some jobs but simultaneously creates others.

However, if AI develops too rapidly, the workforce may not be able to adapt quickly enough, leading to temporary unemployment or income inequality. Therefore, investing in education and retraining is crucial.
