Many students at the Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted exam site said the literature test was within their ability. Candidate Cam Tien at this exam site shared that she took the chemistry exam and studied literature normally, but she did well on the test, and expected to get about 7 points in literature.
Also at this exam site, a candidate named Duc said he really liked the essay about the world he lives in on the journey to adulthood.
At the exam site of Le Loi Secondary School (District 3), most candidates commented that the literature test was quite good.
Quoc Khanh, a student at Le Loi Secondary School, said the essay topic was quite familiar. The reading comprehension about family affection, the love between parents and children is closely related to each student. The ideas in the reading comprehension poem are not too difficult to recognize, because the way poet Te Hanh expressed them is quite simple and easy to understand.
Regarding the writing part, Khanh said that the topic was about "reading" skills on social networks. He wrote about how to distinguish between real and fake news, and how young people can stay alert to information on social networks.
"I think this is a very relevant topic in the digital age, when there is too much information on social networks, requiring students like me to know how to 'read' correctly and intelligently. I have written two pages on this exam," Khanh said.

Meanwhile, Tuan Anh, from Luong The Vinh Secondary School (District 3), said that the essay topic is familiar but to write well, students need to follow current events. If they do not pay attention to current events and know a little about some real and fake news cases, it will be very difficult for candidates to have convincing evidence.
"Because of being 'scolded' by teachers about the times we spoke and used social networks inappropriately, I had the idea to write this article. I got the idea from the practical advice that teachers gave us to stay alert when online," Tuan Anh happily said.

The 2025 Ho Chi Minh City 10th grade entrance exam will take place on June 6 and 7. Candidates will take three subjects: literature, math, and foreign language. Candidates taking the specialized/integrated exam will take an additional specialized/integrated exam.
