According to the schedule, at exactly 8 o'clock, candidates will begin taking the exam. Before that, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training reminded the exam supervisors that after receiving the exam paper, each candidate must check the condition of their exam paper. If the exam paper shows signs of fading, tearing, missing pages... they must report to the exam supervisor for handling within 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, candidates must take responsibility for their exam paper.
For the Math test, the test duration is 120 minutes. The invigilator will collect the test papers at 10:00, from smallest to largest registration number until all candidates are in the test room.
In previous years, along with Literature, the Math exam was multiplied by a coefficient of 2. The new point of this year's exam is that the scores of all 3 exams are multiplied by a coefficient of 1. Therefore, candidates are less pressured with the 2 exams that have had their coefficients removed.
At the end of the first day of the exam, many candidates shared that they felt "like a heavy burden had been lifted off their shoulders" but still "couldn't sleep well" because they still had to take the Math exam.
Yesterday, the Hanoi Literature exam was commented by many candidates and teachers as good, bringing familiar, simple issues related to life into the exam. Meanwhile, the foreign language exam was not heavy on theory, required high practicality and differentiation.
On the first day of the exam, there was 1 candidate in the city who violated the exam regulations, bringing a cell phone into the exam room and was fined and suspended from the exam. There were 12 candidates who needed assistance during the exam due to health problems.

According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, immediately after the exam ends, Hanoi will begin grading the exams, ensuring timely progress to announce the scores between July 4-6.
The new point this year is that the exam scores and benchmark scores are announced at the same time, which is beneficial for candidates but puts a lot of pressure on the Examination Board as well as the benchmark scores for high schools.
