Proposed list of pesticides allowed and banned from use in Vietnam

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is drafting a Circular promulgating the List of pesticides permitted for use in Vietnam and the List of pesticides banned from use in Vietnam.

List of pesticides allowed for use in Vietnam

In the draft, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development proposed the List of pesticides allowed for use in Vietnam, including:

Agricultural drugs: Pesticides: 895 active ingredients with 2,194 trade names; fungicides: 840 active ingredients with 1,957 trade names; herbicides: 312 active ingredients with 994 trade names; rodenticides: 09 active ingredients with 73 trade names; growth regulators: 67 active ingredients with 206 trade names; insect attractants: 08 active ingredients with 08 trade names; snail killers: 31 active ingredients with 161 trade names; supporting substances (spreading substances): 05 active ingredients with 06 trade names.

In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also proposed in the List of termite pesticides: 17 active ingredients with 29 trade names; forest product preservatives: 07 active ingredients with 08 trade names; warehouse disinfectants: 03 active ingredients with 11 trade names.

Medicines used for golf courses: Insecticides: 01 active ingredient with 01 trade name; fungicides: 02 active ingredients with 02 trade names; growth regulators: 01 active ingredient with 01 trade name.

Seed treatment chemicals: Insecticides: 10 active ingredients with 16 trade names; fungicides: 12 active ingredients with 12 trade names; post-harvest agricultural product preservation chemicals: 02 active ingredients with 02 trade names.

List of pesticides banned from use in Vietnam

In the draft, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also proposed a list of plant protection drugs banned from use in Vietnam, including: Pesticides, forest product preservatives: 23 active ingredients; fungicides: 06 active ingredients; rat poison: 01 active ingredient and herbicide: 01 active ingredient.
