This weekend, the DIFF 2025 International Fireworks Festival officially opens. This is considered the opening event for a series of programs to stimulate summer tourism in this coastal city.

According to the DIFF 2025 Organizing Committee, with the theme " Da Nang - A New Era," this year's International Fireworks Festival is not only a playground for the art of light but also carries special significance, expressing Da Nang's aspiration for prosperous and dynamic development.
DIFF 2025 brings together 10 competing teams from Vietnam, Finland, the UK, Portugal, Poland, South Korea, Italy, Canada, and China, competing over 6 nights of spectacular fireworks displays and music . Notably, AR technology integrated into the Sun Paradise Land app allows viewers to enjoy the fireworks from anywhere.
In addition, a series of accompanying events such as food festivals, art performances, and concerts promise to bring a vibrant and unforgettable summer for visitors.
With its systematic approach, strong media coverage, large-scale investment, and widespread influence, the city on the Han River is becoming a popular choice for summer tourism for many people.
From May 31st to July 12th, each weekend will feature fireworks displays showcasing the unique styles of each participating country. Notably, this weekend's opening night will include a performance themed "Cultural Quintessence" alongside the host team Da Nang (Vietnam 1), and the reigning DIFF 2024 champion Finland, with a display themed "Nordic Lights." Many famous artists will be performing at the opening night, spreading the event's excitement across social media platforms.

Night 2: (June 7th) "Creative Art" Vietnam 2 - Poland.

Night 4: (June 21st) "Sustainable Development" Portugal - England.
Night 5: (June 28) "Technology Leads the Way" South Korea - Italy.
The final night took place on July 12th with the theme "A New Era".
Enjoy Da Nang
While many destinations are still struggling with the challenge of retaining tourists, Da Nang has taken a step ahead with its "festival-based tourism" strategy – transforming each event into a genuine tourism product, attractive, novel, and of international caliber to retain visitors and spread its brand image.
Along with the highlight being the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, this summer, Da Nang continues to launch a "combo" of major programs such as the Da Nang Enjoyment Festival 2025, the 3rd Asian Film Festival, and cultural and artistic festivals with multinational characteristics (Vietnam-Japan, Vietnam-Korea, etc.).
In particular, the programs "I Love Danang" and "Enjoy Danang - Diverse Experiences" are designed to run throughout the year, following peak tourist seasons, creating a series of rich and attractive experiential journeys.
Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, said, “‘Enjoy Da Nang 2025 - Diverse Experiences’ is a series of activities in response to the 2025 tourism stimulus program of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration: ‘Vietnam - Travel to Love’. Accordingly, tourists will have experiences to enjoy throughout the year.”
From enjoying the festive atmosphere with over 20 festivals throughout the year; enjoying fun and entertainment with many promotions and gifts at tourist destinations in the area such as Sun World Ba Na Hills, Da Nang Downtown, Mikazuki 365 Water Park, and Nui Than Tai Tourist Area; enjoying Da Nang cuisine with highlights such as food-accommodation combos and Da Nang culinary passports; enjoying Da Nang nights with nighttime entertainment activities such as Bach Dang pedestrian street, An Thuong tourist street, and Han River cruises…
The spectacular art performances such as the Ao Dai Show, Tien Sa Show, and Charming Show in Da Nang will also implement special policies for MICE and wedding tourism in 2025.
According to the plan, Da Nang expects to welcome more than 11.9 million tourists in 2025 and achieve revenue of over 36,000 billion VND from tourism.
Da Nang's vibrant tourism industry has led to the bustling development of tourism throughout the region. Neighboring localities like Quang Nam will also have great opportunities to welcome the influx of tourists from this "vibrant neighbor."
On May 17th, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a workshop titled "Da Nang Tourism in the New Era: Integration and Breakthrough." This was considered a special forum for restructuring Da Nang's tourism industry following the merger of Quang Nam and Da Nang. At the workshop, the "in-depth tourism development" mindset was emphasized, focusing on exploiting local culture and natural resources in a sustainable manner, linked to technological transformation and the new expectations of global tourists.
