This weekend, the DIFF 2025 International Fireworks Festival officially opens. This is considered the opening activity for a series of summer tourism stimulus programs of this coastal city.
The attraction of fireworks
According to the Organizing Committee of DIFF 2025, with the theme " Da Nang - New Era", this year's International Fireworks Festival is not only a playground for the art of light but also has a special meaning expressing the aspiration for prosperous and dynamic development of Da Nang.
DIFF 2025 brings together 10 teams from Vietnam, Finland, England, Portugal, Poland, Korea, Italy, Canada and China, competing through 6 nights of fireworks bursting with color and music . In particular, AR technology integrated in the Sun Paradise Land application allows audiences to enjoy fireworks from anywhere.
In addition, a series of accompanying events such as food festivals, art performances and concerts promise to bring a vibrant and unforgettable summer to visitors.
With a methodical approach, strong communication, large-scale investment and wide influence, the city on the Han River is becoming a choice for many people's summer travel season.
From May 31 to July 12, every weekend there will be a fireworks competition night with the mark of each country. Notably, on the opening night this weekend, along with the host team Da Nang (Vietnam 1) with a performance themed "Cultural Essence", the reigning champion of DIFF 2024 Finland will have a performance themed "Nordic Light". Many famous artists will participate in the opening night, spreading the heat of the event across social media platforms.

Night 4: (June 21) "Sustainable Development" Portugal - UK.
Night 5: (June 28) "Technology leads the way" Korea - Italy.
The final night took place on July 12 with the theme "New Era".

Along with the highlight of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, this summer, Da Nang continues to launch a "combo" of major programs such as the Da Nang Enjoy Festival 2025, the 3rd Asian Film Festival, and cultural and artistic festivals with multinational colors (Vietnam - Japan, Vietnam - Korea...).
In particular, the programs “I Love Danang - I Love Danang” and “Enjoy Danang - Multiple Experiences” are designed to run throughout the year, following each peak tourist season, creating a series of rich and attractive experiences.

Accordingly, tourists will have enjoyable experiences throughout the year.
From enjoying the festive atmosphere with more than 20 festivals throughout the year; enjoying entertainment with many promotional programs and gifts at tourist attractions in the area at Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area, Da Nang Downtown, Mikazuki 365 water park, Nui Than Tai tourist area; enjoying Da Nang cuisine with the highlight of culinary - accommodation combo, Da Nang culinary passport; enjoying Da Nang night with night entertainment activities such as Bach Dang walking street, An Thuong tourist street, Han River cruise...
Special art performance programs Ao Dai show, Tien Sa show, Charming show Da Nang also implement separate policies for MICE tourists and wedding tourists in 2025.
According to the plan, Da Nang expects to welcome more than 11.9 million visitors in 2025 and achieve revenue of more than 36,000 billion VND from tourism.
The vibrant tourism of Da Nang has led to the bustling development of tourism in the whole region. Neighboring localities such as Quang Nam will also have a great opportunity to welcome the influx of visitors from this “vibrant neighbor”.
On May 17, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City organized a workshop on “Da Nang Tourism in the New Era: Integration and Breakthrough”. This is considered a special forum to restructure the Da Nang tourism industry after the policy of merging Quang Nam and Da Nang. At the workshop, the mindset of “doing tourism in depth” was emphasized with factors of exploiting indigenous culture and natural resources in a sustainable manner, associated with technological transformation and new expectations of global tourists.
