- Located in Hoang Hoa Tham block, Chi Lang ward, Lang Son city , Tien Pagoda - Tien Well relic has long been famous for its many unique cultural and religious values with a system of folk tales, ancient steles, ancient worship statues... This is a prominent attraction for every tourist on a trip to Lang Son city.
Coming to Tien Pagoda, passing nearly 70 winding stone steps, visitors cannot help but be overwhelmed by a majestic stone cave with stalactites of various shapes such as fairy, lion head, flying bat... creating a space that is both sacred and mysterious. Ms. Hoang Thi Kim Anh , Head of the Department of Management of the historical and scenic relic of Tien Pagoda - Tien Well, said: In 1992, this relic was ranked as a national relic. Every year, we regularly renovate and restore degraded and damaged items in the pagoda. In 2017, to ensure security, we installed a camera system at Tien Pagoda.
According to the book “Dai Nam Nhat Thong Chi” of the National History Institute of the Nguyen Dynasty, Tien Pagoda (Song Tien Tu) was established during the Le Hong Duc period (around 1460 - 1497). It was originally a small pagoda next to Tien Well on the slope of Deo Giang - Van Vi mountain (about 200 m from the entrance of Tien Pagoda cave). However, around the second half of the 18th century, due to damage and deterioration, the pagoda was moved into Song Tien cave.

The Fairy Well is a cool water source that flows from the heart of the mountain. Although the mouth of the water source is only as big as a large bowl, the clear water never dries up. This well is associated with the legendary story of the Fairy who gave the Phja Luong villagers precious water to repay the buffalo herders who gave him their meager rice (in the form of a poor old man). The mouth of the well is the footprint of the Fairy stepping on the rock.
Through the ups and downs of time, up to now, the Tien Pagoda - Tien Well relic still preserves many valuable artifacts of artistic value such as the system of statues, horizontal lacquered boards, parallel sentences, 13 steles carved on the cliff by writers, poets, and mandarins under the feudal dynasties of ancient Vietnam. In particular, the pagoda currently preserves a stone stele engraved with the poem "Tran doanh bat canh" by the famous person Ngo Thi Si praising the eight beautiful landscapes of Lang Son.
In addition to its cultural value, this relic cluster is also a place to satisfy the spiritual needs of local people and attract a large number of tourists to Lang Son. According to statistics from the Department of Management of the Tien Pagoda - Tien Well relic cluster, each year, this relic welcomes more than 2 million visitors to visit and worship.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Chau, Long Bien District, Hanoi , a tourist visiting Tien Pagoda shared: I have been to Lang Son many times, each time I visit religious tourist attractions, including Tien Pagoda and Tien Well. This is a very beautiful and sacred place, I will definitely come back here many more times.
