COVID-19 epidemic today: Increased cases

Regarding the COVID-19 epidemic situation today , the Ministry of Health said that from 4:00 p.m. on September 20 to 4:00 p.m. on September 21, the whole country recorded 28 cases, a slight increase compared to the previous day.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vietnam has had 11,623,513 infections, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories. The total number of cured cases is 10,640,736. The number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,206, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

During the day, 10 more patients were announced to be cured. The whole country has no more severe COVID-19 patients requiring oxygen.

To date, our country has administered more than 266.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine. The number of doses administered to people aged 18 and over is 223,841,647 doses; the number of doses administered to children aged 12-17 is 23,965,655 doses; the number of doses administered to children aged 5-11 is 18,725,280 doses.

Vietnam is one of the countries with the highest COVID-19 vaccination coverage in the world . The rate of full vaccination for people aged 12 and over is approximately 100%.
