The benchmark score for Journalism and Communications in 2024 is sky-high

Up to now, many universities in the social sciences have announced admission scores based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores. In particular, the Journalism and Communication group continues to maintain high admission scores, almost reaching the absolute threshold.

At the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi , most of the school's majors in block C00 require over 27 points, or over 9 points/subject, to be admitted.

Of which, the major with the highest benchmark score is Public Relations, block C00 (Literature, History, Geography), with 29.1 points, an average of 9.7 points/subject to pass. This is also the major with the highest benchmark score in 2023 (28.78 in block C00).

The Academy of Journalism and Communication also announced the admission scores for 32 majors and training programs in three methods: Graduation exam scores, academic records, and combined admission (SAT, IELTS scores or equivalent).

With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the Academy of Journalism and Communication has two standard scales of 30 and 40. On the 30-point scale, the multimedia communication major has the highest score of 28.25 in the C15 group (Literature, Mathematics and Social Sciences), an average of 9.41 points/subject to pass.

Next is Mass Communication, also in this group, with 28.05 points.

The Party and State Administration Building sector got 24.68 points in group A16 (Math, Literature and Natural Sciences), the lowest on this scale.

Other majors are almost no less than 25. On a scale of 40, the highest admission threshold is 38.12 in History, combination C19 (Literature, CivicEducation and History). English, combination D72 (Literature, Natural Sciences, English) is the lowest with 34.7 points.

At Hanoi University of Culture, the admission score based on high school graduation exam scores ranges from 22.85 to 28.9 points. Of which, journalism ranks first with a benchmark score of 28.9 points (group C00).

At the Diplomatic Academy, the benchmark score for the C00 combination of all majors is the highest compared to the remaining combinations in the same major.

The international communication major has a benchmark score of up to 29.05/30 points. This is the major with the second highest entrance benchmark score, after Chinese Studies (the benchmark score for the C00 combination is 29.2/30 points).
