Bright spot in the movement to build cultural life

(GLO)- In recent years, Chu Krih village (Chu Drang commune, Krong Pa district, Gia Lai province) has effectively implemented the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", contributing to improving the quality of life and building a healthy cultural environment.

Implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", the political system of Chu Krih village has stepped up propaganda to create a change in people's awareness of building a cultural life. In 2024, Chu Krih village had 265/354 households registered to build cultural families. Through evaluation, 244 households were recognized as cultural families (reaching 92%), of which 5 households achieved the title of "Typical Cultural Family" for 3 consecutive years.

Mr. Ksor Mip's family has an exemplary lifestyle, is in harmony with the villagers and is always at the forefront of every movement launched by the village. His family also mobilizes villagers to contribute working days and donate land to build new rural areas. "Not only do we set an example, we also educate our children to live in harmony in the family and know how to help people around them, and live a useful life for society. For 10 consecutive years, my family has achieved the title of culture" - Mr. Mip shared.

To make it easier for people to understand and implement, Chu Krih village has developed a set of criteria for family behavior that is suitable to the actual situation in the locality and based on Decree No. 122/2018/ND-CP dated September 17, 2018 of the Government regulating the awarding of the titles "Cultural Family", "Cultural Village", "Cultural Village", "Cultural Hamlet", "Cultural Neighborhood".

Along with that, the village organizes for people to sign a commitment to implement the set criteria; at the same time, organizes the registration and evaluation of cultural families in a public and transparent manner. In case families violate one of the criteria, they will be criticized in village meetings, and even removed from the evaluation list.

Ms. Ksor Druin said: “The criteria for evaluating cultural families are easy to understand and close to life. Therefore, we wholeheartedly support and respond. The movement to build cultural families in the village has also become a vibrant emulation movement.”

Support from authorities at all levels and national target programs have also created favorable conditions for the village to develop comprehensively, effectively implementing movements and campaigns such as: "Building a cultural family", "Exemplary grandparents, filial children", "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "Changing the thinking and working methods of ethnic minorities to gradually escape poverty sustainably"...

Mr. Ksor Dônh - Party Cell Secretary and Head of Chu Krih Village - said: The village has 354 households, 93% of whom are ethnic minorities. By the end of 2024, the village will have 56 poor households and 65 near-poor households.

“Over the past 5 years, Chu Krih village has been awarded the title of cultural village. To maintain this title, the role of the people is very important. People have well implemented the criteria of the movement such as: competing in labor, good production; complying with the conventions of the place of residence, practicing a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals, festivals and regulations on environmental sanitation” - Mr. Ksor Dônh affirmed.

The continuous efforts of the political system of Chu Krih village have brought initial results, people's lives have been gradually improved, security and order have been ensured. The village has become a bright spot in the movement to build a cultural life, contributing significantly to the sustainable development of the locality.

Mr. Ksor Rok - Chairman of the People's Committee of Chu Drang Commune - said: People in the village always know how to preserve and promote good national cultural values, strengthen village and neighborhood relationships, build great national unity, care for economic development, maintain political security and social order and safety.
