Adjusting the scale, time and policy for implementing the Project to Convert the Function of Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park

(DN) - The Provincial People's Committee has issued Decision No. 2105/QD-UBND (dated June 22, 2025) amending and supplementing the Project on Converting Bien Hoa I Industrial Park into an Urban - Commercial - Service and Environmental Improvement Area (referred to as the Project) approved with Decision 324/QD-UBND dated February 5, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee.

Accordingly, there are 3 notable changes: scale; time; compensation, support and resettlement policies of the Project.

In terms of scale, the Project has a total area of about 329 hectares, divided into 3 areas: The priority compensation and site clearance area has a total area of about 154 hectares (including 2 small areas: Urban - commercial - service area of about 50.5 hectares (area 1) and Provincial political - administrative urban area of about 103.5 hectares (area 2); Urban - commercial - service area of about 175 hectares (area 3).

Areas to note are: areas with active projects (Provincial Police Headquarters, State Audit Office of Region XIII), retention areas (Lam Son Park, water tower and Sonadezi Corporation Building), areas to be relocated (33MW Power Station located at the central water square and Quality Measurement Technical Center 3).

Regarding the policy of compensation and support for relocation and site clearance, on April 2, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 3512/UBND-KTNS agreeing on the policy of not issuing a policy of compensation and support for relocation and site clearance when the State reclaims land to implement the Project. Compensation, support and resettlement are implemented in accordance with current legal regulations.

Regarding the relocation deadline, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to carry out the task of compensation and site clearance for organizations and enterprises within the scope of the Project, with the completion date before August 1, 2025.
