Title 100
Amidst all the hardships, in the inevitable cycle of “life” that he himself admits, Novak Djokovic found solace, light and joy on the clay courts of Geneva – where he marked another great milestone in his remarkable career.
In a season filled with doubt and disappointment, Djokovic found in Switzerland the precious piece he had always craved.

Nole raised his arms in celebration after defeating Hubert Hurkacz in three sets (5-7, 7-6[7-2] and 7-6[2]), winning his 100th career title. Djokovic broke another barrier. In terms of playing ability, regardless of opinion, no one can compare to him.
Perhaps this achievement comes at a time when he needs it most, amid the uncertainty surrounding Nole, one of the greatest athletes of all time - who is said to be entering the final stage of his career.
Before coming to the Geneva Open, part of the ATP 250, Nole often bowed his head, without any titles in the season.
Djokovic has finally entered the “ 100 Club ”. Jimmy Connors (109 titles) leads the way, followed by Roger Federer (103). Now, Nole is finding “oxygen” again ahead of Roland Garros .
“This is new for me, trying to win 1 or 2 matches without thinking about going deep in the tournaments…” , Djokovic shared after the win over Hurkacz, the first title since the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“It’s a completely different feeling than I’ve had in over 20 years on tour,” he explained, first in English and then in French. “It’s a new mental challenge for me.”
The Serbian legend lists his collection: 24 Grand Slams (record), 7 ATP Finals titles (record), 40 Masters 1000s (record), 15 ATP 500s, 13 ATP 250s – including the Geneva Open – and a dream fulfilled in Paris last summer when he beat Carlos Alcaraz.
Grand Slam Ambition 25
For Djokovic, everything is a question mark right now . That's the way life is. Roger Federer 's knee forced him to withdraw, or Rafael Nadal collapsed due to a chronic hip problem .
Djokovic also suffered a meniscus injury last year . But he still won the Olympics and had only two numbers on his mind: the 100th ( just reached) milestone, his 25th Grand Slam title.
“I had to sweat for it, no doubt. Hurkacz was very close to winning the whole match,” Djokovic admitted after 3 hours and 5 minutes of play .
“I don’t know how I broke his serve , ” Nole analyzed. After all, it was a resilient performance in his usual style .

However , the milestone of 100 titles cannot hide the fragility of a warrior who is becoming vulnerable, in the journey to regain the inspiration and explosion needed to confront young talents. He has not given up yet.
On May 22 , Djokovic celebrated his 38th birthday . With Roland Garros approaching , he sent a signal about his 25th Grand Slam ambition .
Amélie Mauresmo, director of Roland Garros , commented on the championship candidate: "I will never write him off " . She understands very well the stature of Nole, who can do all kinds of miracles.
Before coming to Roland Garros, Djokovic surpassed Nadal to stand alone on the top of the record: the 20th consecutive season with at least one title. Nole started in 2006 , in Amersfoort (Netherlands), and continues to this day . Simply, he represents eternity.
