On July 19th, according to a source from Dan Tri newspaper, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province instructed the Department of Internal Affairs and the Department of Education and Training to implement the conclusions of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province (formerly) regarding a teacher's complaint against the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu province (formerly).
These agencies are required to report the results of their implementation to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province in July.
Previously, on February 7th, the People's Committee of the former Bac Lieu province (now Ca Mau province) issued a decision to accept the complaint of Mr. NVT (a teacher at Bac Lieu High School) accusing the Bac Lieu Provincial Department of Education and Training of illegally transferring him from Bac Lieu Specialized High School to Bac Lieu High School in 2016.
Mr. T. claims that the school incorrectly evaluated his professional performance for two consecutive years (2013-2014 and 2014-2015), resulting in him being rated as average. This is the reason Mr. T. was transferred to another position.
On June 27th, the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province concluded that the Department of Education and Training's transfer of Mr. T. out of the specialized high school was against regulations.
Specifically, at that time, Mr. T. was rated excellent by the professional team of the specialized high school, but the principal downgraded him to average.
The principal of Bac Lieu Specialized High School (at the time of the complaint) showed signs of retaliating against teachers and abusing his position and authority to commit acts contrary to regulations, which is a violation of the code of ethics for teachers.
In addition to the above allegations, the Provincial People's Committee also determined that in 2016, the Department of Education and Training transferred two teachers to Bac Lieu Specialized High School without a competitive examination, and that one teacher who taught from 2003-2011 did not have a secondary, college, or university degree in pedagogy (only obtaining a university degree in physical education and sports in 2011; and a university degree in national security and defense in 2016) was indeed guilty of these allegations.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province has assigned the Department of Internal Affairs and the Department of Education and Training to take the lead in reviewing and clarifying the responsibilities, nature, and extent of the violations, and to impose disciplinary measures on the collectives and individuals involved.
