(kontumtv.vn) – On October 23, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong and a delegation of members of the Central Steering Committee of the Campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” worked in Kon Tum province to evaluate the results of the Campaign.

The implementation of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in Kon Tum province has achieved many results in recent times. Specifically, it has created a clear change in people's awareness of responding to the Campaign, identifying and using products produced in the province and domestically; establishing distribution channels, bringing Vietnamese goods to consumers, especially in rural areas and ethnic minority areas; promptly implementing policies to support capital, science and technology, and trade promotion for businesses. Up to now, the whole province has established 5 Vietnamese sales points; many businesses and cooperatives have brought products to convenience stores, Ocop stores, and supermarkets; the fight against counterfeit goods, smuggling, and trade fraud has been strictly controlled; over 80% of consumers highly appreciate the quality, reliability and choose to buy domestically produced goods...

At the meeting, the Steering Committee of the Kon Tum Provincial Campaign discussed issues such as the lack of synchronization in the implementation of the Campaign; enterprises are mainly small and medium-sized, so their internal capacity to develop production and sales is limited; the economic conditions of ethnic minority people are difficult, so the implementation of the Campaign has not achieved high results. Kon Tum Province requested that all levels continue to have mechanisms and policies to support enterprises to maintain and expand production, build and protect product brands, etc.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong highly appreciated the achievements of Kon Tum province in implementing the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods". The Deputy Minister of Information and Communications suggested that Kon Tum province strengthen the Steering Committee of the Campaign at all levels; strengthen coordination between sectors and units; further enhance the role of departments, sectors, unions, and socio -political organizations in disseminating the Campaign to people, especially in remote areas; review and supplement policies to support enterprises in production and business; step up inspection and strictly handle acts of selling counterfeit, fake, and smuggled goods that affect consumers; promote the promotion of local specialty products, and strongly apply e-commerce distribution channels./.
