On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 / April 30, 2025), on the morning of April 28, the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense delegation led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate and pay tribute to heroic martyrs in Quang Tri province.

The delegation included: Colonel Thai Duc Hanh, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 4 ; Nguyen Tran Huy, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Tri province; Duong Tan Long, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province.

At the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, the Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery and the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel National Special Historical Site, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense respectfully offered flowers and incense, commemorating and expressing gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, national reunification, for the happiness of the people and fulfilling their noble international obligations.

On this occasion, Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh and the delegation came to offer incense and perform the flower-releasing ceremony to commemorate the martyrs on Thach Han River, Quang Tri town.
