Delegation of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee visited and wished Happy New Year to Salavan Provincial Government

On the afternoon of April 10, within the framework of a working trip to the southern provinces of Laos, the delegation of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee led by comrade Truong Cong Thai visited and extended New Year greetings to the government of Salavan Province - Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Comrade Daovong Phonekeo, Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary and Governor of Salavan Province chaired the reception.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Truong Cong Thai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee sent best wishes to the government and people of Salavan province on the occasion of Traditional New Year Bun Pi May 2025, at the same time thank the Provincial Party Secretary and representatives of the agencies for taking the time to welcome the delegation very sincerely and warmly.

Comrade Truong Cong Thai said that this visit is very meaningful because the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee and the Salavan Provincial Government jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding on friendship and cooperation.

Dak Lak Province hopes that the Provincial Party Secretary will pay attention and direct the effective implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding that is about to be signed. Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee will also urge the Departments and branches to further strengthen cooperation with Salavan Province in the coming time, especially in the field of agriculture ; continue to deepen the relationship between the two provinces through meaningful and practical activities, for the benefit of the people of the two localities.

In a warm, friendly atmosphere, Comrade Daovong Phoneke - Secretary, Governor of Salavan Province said that since 2004, Salavan and Dak Lak provinces have signed a memorandum of understanding between the two provincial governments. In the field of investment, Dak Lak Rubber Investment Joint Stock Company has invested more than 3,700 hectares of rubber land (Farm 2 and Farm 4) in Lao Ngap district, Salavan province, with an investment value of more than 404 billion kip. In addition, every year Dak Lak province also invites representatives of Salavan province to participate in the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, which is a major event with the participation of many parties and many countries.

To effectively implement the cooperation signing program, comrade Daovong Phoneke suggested that the delegations of Dak Lak and Salavan provinces discuss and develop effective cooperation plans in many fields, promote the achievements of cooperation in recent times and propose more practical cooperation directions in the new period.

Comrade Daovong Phoneke hopes that the two sides will continue to foster the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam in general; effectively implement cooperation contents between the two sides, and together aim for the goal of prosperous development.
