The conference was chaired by Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Duong Van Phuoc and National Assembly delegates Phan Thai Binh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Dang Thi Bao Trinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union.
According to the provincial National Assembly delegation, the practice of implementing the electricity law in recent times has shown that there are a number of problems that need to be amended and supplemented to meet the goals of electricity development, ensure national energy security, strengthen the assignment and decentralization, and improve the effectiveness of state management of electricity.
The Draft Electricity Law consists of 9 chapters and 119 articles regulating electricity development planning and investment in electricity projects; electricity development; electricity operation licenses; electricity trading activities; operation and regulation of the national electricity system; protection of electricity works and safety in the electricity sector; responsibility for state management of electricity, etc.
At the conference, delegates had many opinions on the safety corridor for power projects; rooftop solar power; electricity import, safety in electricity use; renewable energy development (solar power, wind power); and electricity pricing methods.
Participate in giving opinions on regulations of laws and management authorities at all levels in land allocation, clearance, compensation related to land serving power grid projects; methods of selecting investors for power projects; signing contracts on electricity prices between businesses and people; handling emergency power sources, etc.
On behalf of the provincial National Assembly delegation, Mr. Duong Van Phuoc highly appreciated the opinions of the delegates at the conference and said that he fully acknowledged the opinions, synthesized the report to the National Assembly Standing Committee to review and complete the draft Law on Electricity (amended).
