FIRST CONGRESS OF THE DIEN BAN DONG WARD PARTY COMMITTEE (TERM 2025 - 2030): Building a dynamic and modern urban area.

Dien Ban Dong Ward is located near the city center, has a large area and a large population, and still has much room for development. In the next five years, the Party Committee, government, and people aim to build the ward into a civilized and modern urban area; one of the new, dynamic development areas of Da Nang city.

According to the Dien Ban (old) urban planning until 2030, approved by Decision No. 656 dated March 31, 2023, of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province (old), Dien Ban Dong ward has 3 sub-areas: Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc New Urban Area, Coastal Urban Area, and Western Urban Area of ​​DT607.

Of that, the Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc New Urban Area accounts for approximately 37% of the ward's area, and two zoning plans are currently being implemented, along with over 100 detailed plans associated with investment projects, accounting for approximately 31% of the area. Based on the approved plans, the ward has granted construction permits to individual households and other construction projects in the area.

Chairman of Dien Ban Dong Ward People's Committee, Nguyen Thanh Vy, shared that during the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee and the government will mobilize all resources to invest in building a synchronous and modern infrastructure, especially taking advantage of capital from the Central Government and the city to invest in the framework infrastructure according to the plan.

At the same time, proactively review and propose solutions to the city to address difficulties and obstacles, and suggest mechanisms to continue implementing residential area projects, urban area projects, and key projects that are behind schedule and have been delayed for many years.

In the coming years, Dien Ban Dong ward will continue to implement and put into use key projects such as: dredging and clearing the Co Co River, the elevated railway line connecting Hoi An and Da Nang , and the construction of Nghia Tu Bridge.

In addition, investment will be made to complete the connecting and vital transportation routes of the ward: the main axis of the Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc New Urban Area, investment in expanding the connection of the DH7 route to Vien Dong beach, the extended DH9 route, and the 773 route.

“We have included the DT607B route in the investment project list and proposed that the city invest in its renovation and upgrading, facilitating trade and socio-economic development in the locality. We strive to have at least 5 urban projects implemented and put into use during this term,” Mr. Vy said.

As one of the planning advisors, Mr. Truong Anh Quoc, Head of the Economic - Infrastructure - Urban Planning Department of Dien Ban Dong Ward, said that it is expected that by the first quarter of 2027, the entire ward will have completed its zoning plan, serving as a basis for managing urban planning and architecture, establishing public investment projects, or attracting projects outside the state budget.

Specifically, the western area will be defined as a community space along the Vinh Dien River, forming an urban area linked with Da Nang University; the eastern area of ​​the ward will develop the landscape along the Co Co River to promote tourism, urban development, and services along the river and coast; combined with the rearrangement of coastal residents to create community spaces in the coastal area.

The local authorities are striving to complete the planning and construction of the new administrative center before 2030.

During the implementation process, the ward proactively reviewed, adjusted, and coordinated planning projects in the area; implemented approved planning projects; reviewed and adjusted planning projects that were no longer suitable or feasible; and created new zoning plans for the coastal urban area and the urban area west of DT607 road, as well as detailed plans in accordance with the approved Dien Ban urban planning.

Dien Ban Dong will coordinate with neighboring localities in synchronizing planning and infrastructure, creating a linked development space with a vision for the next 20-30 years.
