Delegation of Dien Bien province visited the Caen War Memorial Museum (France).

Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do outlined the characteristics of Dien Bien province and briefly introduced the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum; the results of cooperation in the field of culture and tourism between Dien Bien province and the French Embassy in Vietnam.

Dien Bien province wishes that the Caen War Memory Museum research and collect documents, artifacts, and images related to the means, weapons, equipment, military supplies, maps, etc. of the French army in the Dien Bien Phu battle (1953 - 1954). Support and exchange experiences with Dien Bien province in organizing and displaying artifacts in the museum and outdoors for artifacts that are weapons and large-scale military vehicles ; exchange professional expertise and experience in preserving, maintaining artifacts and maintaining paintings, especially large-sized oil paintings; support experience in managing and exploiting the theme of war memories to serve tourism development, historical research for peace, cooperation and development.

Working with the Dien Bien Provincial Delegation, representatives of the Caen War Memory Museum gave an overview of the Museum, exchanged experiences in cooperation in historical science seminars, and ways to organize research groups to learn historical science for students...

After the meeting, the two sides agreed to prepare the necessary content and conditions according to regulations to sign a cooperation promotion agreement in the coming time.
