Vietnam Association of the Elderly received the First Class Labor Medal for the second time

(BL-NQ) On the morning of June 6, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly (VAE) held a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Association's founding (May 10, 1995 - May 10, 2025) and the 84th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the VAE (June 6, 1941 - June 6, 2025).

The ceremony was held live at the Hanoi bridge point and online nationwide, with over 2 million elderly members participating.

Attending and sharing in the ceremony were comrade Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and many former leaders of the Party and State.

At Bac Lieu bridge, attending the celebration was comrade Tran Van Ut - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - President of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly presented an in-depth report summarizing the outstanding achievements that the Vietnam Association of the Elderly has achieved over the past 3 decades. Currently, the country has nearly 17 million elderly people, making an important contribution to the overall development of the country...

On this special occasion, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal from the President for the second time. Also within the framework of the ceremony, the program “Bright Eyes for the Elderly” was officially launched, demonstrating the deep concern of the whole society for the health and life of the elderly.
