The Chu Dang Ya Volcano Wild Sunflower Festival is held annually at the end of November and the beginning of December, when the flowers welcome the sunlight and bloom brilliantly. This is the time when the western region of Gia Lai enters the dry season, favorable to attract tourists.

Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has requested departments, branches and a number of communes and wards to coordinate in developing a detailed plan to organize the Chu Dang Ya Volcano and Wild Sunflower Festival.

The communes and wards of Pleiku, Dien Hong, Hoi Phu, Thong Nhat, An Phu and Gao coordinated to display and introduce OCOP products and local specialties; at the same time, presided over and invited restaurants and hotels in the area to participate in culinary demonstrations.

The Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize booths to introduce, promote and experience specialty coffee, brocade, handicraft products, folk statues, etc.

The festival is also an opportunity to introduce product stalls of young people, women entrepreneurs and agricultural cooperatives.

Within the framework of the festival, tourist attractions in the series of events such as: Bien Ho - Pleiku scenic area, hundred-year-old pine trees, tea gardens, Dien Hong Park, Pleiku Prison, Pleiku Museum, Dai Doan Ket Square, Hoi Phu stream... will open to welcome visitors.

During the festival, traffic will be diverted from Bien Ho tea, hundred-year-old pine trees, Ngo Son fields and Chu Dang Ya. Passenger vehicles and cars will not be allowed to circulate in the hundred-year-old pine trees area during rush hours.
