Promoting great solidarity to overcome all difficulties
Speaking at the festival, the Prime Minister emphasized that the event took place in a special context when the whole country was implementing the arrangement of administrative units and converting the 2-level local government model. At the same time, the coastal area of Gia Lai had just suffered heavy damage due to storm No. 13. In the midst of difficulties, the entire Party and people promoted the strength of great solidarity, under the correct leadership of the Party and the synchronous participation of the political system, creating a solid foundation to stabilize life.

The Prime Minister commended the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Gia Lai in general and De Gi commune in particular, especially in storm prevention work. The Prime Minister requested the locality and all people to promptly overcome storm damage, rebuild collapsed and damaged houses before Tet; and mobilize the army, police and youth union members to support people in difficult times.

The Prime Minister requested Gia Lai authorities at all levels to promote the spirit of being close to the people, listening, dialogue, taking responsibility, avoiding formalities, evasion, and pushing. In the process of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 13, it is necessary to restructure residential areas, arrange for people to live more safely inside; deploy resettlement areas early, and prepare carefully to take care of people during Tet...
Early support for people and businesses to recover after the storm
At noon of the same day (November 13), at Cat Khanh Border Guard Station (Gia Lai province), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and worked with Gia Lai province on the damage situation and work to overcome the consequences of storm No. 13.
Reporting to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that storm No. 13 caused severe damage to property and infrastructure in the eastern part of the province, with total preliminary damage estimated at about VND5,900 billion.

Immediately after the storm, the province mobilized the entire political system, promoting the spirit of initiative and solidarity of the people to quickly overcome the consequences and restore production and business activities. The province proposed that the Prime Minister and central ministries and branches pay attention and provide more resources to Gia Lai to quickly overcome the damage, stabilize people's lives and develop the economy and society after the natural disaster.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister praised the proactive and resilient spirit of the government and people of Gia Lai province, especially in evacuating people to avoid the storm and mobilizing forces to help people quickly overcome the damage.
The Prime Minister requested the province to urgently count the damage, especially households whose houses collapsed or were swept away, so that they can soon rebuild houses, repair damaged structures, and help people stabilize their lives. At the same time, plan new resettlement areas, clear coastal land to serve the development of local services and economy; review and restore transport, health, and education infrastructure.

The Prime Minister requested Gia Lai province to have solutions to support livelihoods, create jobs, support businesses to restore production, avoid supply chain disruptions; mobilize armed forces and youth to help clean up and repair factories; banks to create favorable conditions for loans, debt forgiveness, debt reduction, debt extension, tax reduction...

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also inspected the construction site of the runway project at Phu Cat airport.
The project was started on August 19, 2025 with a total investment of more than VND 3,200 billion, of which the central budget supports VND 1,500 billion, the rest is arranged by the local budget. After completion, the project will meet the exploitation of Code C aircraft types, such as: A320, A321 and equivalent; at the same time, it can receive Code E aircraft when necessary.
According to the plan, the project will be implemented within 10 months, contributing to improving the capacity to exploit and develop aviation infrastructure in the Central Highlands - Central region.
