"Innovative, dynamic, creative" effectively serves the propaganda work of the Natural Resources and Environment sector
Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh commended and acknowledged the achievements of the 3 press and media units of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment that they have strived to achieve in 2023. In particular, the Deputy Minister highly appreciated the Press and Media Sector of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in 2023 for continuing to innovate, be dynamic and creative, contributing to effectively serving propaganda work, creating trust and consensus in society, contributing to liberating, arousing and promoting effectively natural resources - environment to contribute to the sustainable development of the country.
According to Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh, 2024 is a very important year, the "sprint" year to finish the 5-year period of implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for the 2020-2025 term. Promoting the achieved results, Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh requested that units need to strengthen exchanges, coordination, cooperation for mutual development, and serve the communication tasks of the Ministry well. In particular, focusing on 5 key and key propaganda issues of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Specifically, the Deputy Minister requested the press and media units of the Ministry to continue to monitor and grasp public opinion in propagating and promptly communicating outstanding topics, contents, tasks and activities of the Natural Resources and Environment sector that are of interest to the social community. Proactively receive feedback and criticism from people and the business community to propose to the leaders of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to promptly and effectively handle related contents in the work of resource management, environmental protection, natural disaster prevention and control, and climate change response, contributing to ensuring national defense, security and socio -economic development.
Regarding the field of land management, the Deputy Minister requested units to focus on disseminating, popularizing and introducing the Land Law (amended), the key and key contents of the Land Law (amended), especially the full and timely institutionalization of the Party's viewpoints and policies in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and the Party's resolutions and conclusions on land management and use and documents guiding the implementation of the Land Law (amended) and related land policies and laws.
Regarding the environmental field, the Deputy Minister requested that units continue to communicate and disseminate innovations in legal policies on environmental protection in the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 to create strong changes in environmental protection enforcement, placing the environment at the center of sustainable development, especially promoting the responsibility of classifying waste at source for recycling and reuse; changing consumer behavior towards environmentally friendly products.
Along with that, units need to focus on promoting climate change response, especially towards Vietnam's green development goal of achieving zero net emissions by 2050 (net zero); promote communication, dissemination, and introduction of the Law on Water Resources (amended), key contents, and documents guiding the implementation of the Law. Especially communication, raising awareness about sustainable exploitation of water resources and protection of transboundary water environment.
Affirming the constant attention of the leaders of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to the media and press agencies of the industry, Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh requested the collective leaders, cadres, reporters, editors and employees of the press and media agencies of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to promote the spirit of "Solidarity, discipline, dynamism, development"; continue to innovate and improve the quality of organization associated with propaganda and communication activities on events of Natural Resources and Environment; promote digital transformation of media and press to attract the attention of readers;...

The Newspaper always emphasized the work of political and ideological education for cadres, civil servants and workers as one of the key tasks in the process of innovating press activities and implementing regulations of the Party, the State and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The Newspaper closely coordinated with the press and media units of the Ministry to effectively carry out the propaganda work of the industry.
Strictly implementing the 2016 Press Law, over the past year, the Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper has ensured that its publications are in line with its principles and purposes; focusing on propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies in the field of Natural Resources and Environment; activities, work, and directions of the leaders of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment...; reflecting the socio-economic life related to the sector from the central to local levels on the Newspaper's publications. Publishing a print newspaper with a quantity of 2 issues/week (as of November 30, 2023, 96/104 print issues have been published), the Center for Radio and Television of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Electronic Newspaper operate regularly, closely following current events related to the natural resources and environment sector.
TN&MT Newspaper has innovated the form and content of printed publications; successfully completed and on schedule the assigned tasks assigned by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment: Providing the quantity and quality of daily and weekly press and media news to serve the leaders of the Ministry and units under the Ministry, leaders of the TN&MT sector in 63 provinces and centrally-run cities; thousands of news, articles, photos, video clips for the Electronic Information Portal of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, in charge of the English content for the Electronic Information Portal of the Ministry; The specialized website dttg.baotainguyenmoitruong.vn was put into operation on June 2, 2021 to propagate key contents on TN&MT with ethnic and religious work.
The newspaper has also innovated the interface of the TN&MT electronic newspaper (with the address https://baotainguyenmoitruong....) from May 26, 2023; closely following current issues taking place each month and quarter to propagate the achievements, events, and outstanding activities of the TN&MT sector in 2023, paying special attention to integrating propaganda of the sector's political tasks into the propaganda content, in a practical manner; closely coordinating with functional units of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, press agencies inside and outside the sector, promoting propaganda on the Law on Environmental Protection amended in 2020, the Land Law (amended), the Law on Water Resources (amended)...; key areas of the sector.
In localities, the TN&MT Newspaper Representative Offices have organized activities in the areas under their management; frankly exchanged and contributed opinions to localities on existing issues related to the TN&MT sector, created good relationships with local authorities and people, ensured news and articles were associated with the task of propagating and orienting public opinion about the sector; and at the same time ensured the effectiveness of economic and communication work.

Based on the assessment of the results achieved and reviewing the existing limitations, according to Mr. Hoang Manh Ha, entering 2024, the collective of cadres, civil servants and employees of TN&MT Newspaper will strive to achieve key and central goals. The Editorial Board of TN&MT Newspaper continues to innovate leadership and management methods, attaching personal responsibility to the implementation of assigned tasks; directing affiliated organizations to develop topic lines, assigning implementation to specialized groups by field, improving the quality of content and form of publications, ensuring continuous updates of information with high topicality, publishing in accordance with the principles and purposes. Along with that, the TN&MT Newspaper continues to reorganize its apparatus and personnel according to Decision No. 2799/QD-BTNMT dated October 24, 2022 of the Minister of TN&MT stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Newspaper; building solidarity, paying attention to training and fostering to improve the quality of human resources; Promoting the implementation of the Press Digital Transformation Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2030.
