Da Nang City Leadership Delegation works with Pangyo Techno Valley leaders

On the evening of July 8, the Delegation continued to work with the leaders of Pangyo Techno Valley.

At the meeting, the representative of Pangyo Techno Valley was pleased to welcome the delegation and shared information with the delegation that the Korean Government is currently focusing on investing in developing the AI industry in Korea. Therefore, an AI cluster has been established in Pangyo Techno Valley to support the necessary conditions for Korean AI startups to expand globally, as well as support AI startups around the world to operate in Korea. The goal is to turn Pangyo Techno Valley into an innovative AI cluster connected with IT and biotechnology. In addition to the AI cluster, Pangyo Techno Valley also has an AI-based self-driving car center. This is a place for Korean startups to research, develop and test autonomous driving technology and 5G technology.

On behalf of the delegation, Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang thanked the Pangyo Techno Valley Leadership Board for taking the time to welcome the delegation. At the same time, he informed about the development situation of Da Nang city, emphasizing that high-tech industry is one of the three areas that are developing strongly. The city has mechanisms and policies to develop strongly in this field. The city is especially interested in training human resources in the field of information technology and innovation to develop the high-tech industry. Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang highly appreciated the Pangyo Techno Valley model and hoped that in the coming time, the cooperative relationship between Da Nang in general and Pangyo Techno Valley with Da Nang's high-tech park and innovation centers will continue to be connected; hoping to soon welcome the leaders of Pangyo Techno Valley to visit and work in the city in the coming time.

Pangyo Techno Valley is an industrial complex in Pangyo City, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea; covering an area of over 450,000 square meters. This is considered the Silicon Valley of Korea; a global R&D center for information technology, biotechnology, cultural technology and connection technology.
