BSR Youth Union organized a thematic conference "One team

On November 8, 2024, the Youth Union of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company ( BSR ) organized a thematic conference "One team - One goal" to promote the spirit of solidarity of BSR Youth in performing assigned tasks associated with BSR culture and spreading the culture of thrift at the Company. Attending the conference were Mr. Pham Minh Nghia - Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy General Director of the Company; Ms. Truong Thi Thu Ha - Chief of the Party Committee Office, Vice President of the Grassroots Trade Union, Deputy Head of the Human Resources Management Department; Mr. Nguyen Huy Du - Secretary of the BSR Youth Union, Deputy Chief of the Company Office and the entire Standing Committee, Executive Committee of the BSR Youth Union, affiliated youth unions and BSR youth union members.

BSR Youth Union organized a thematic conference on "One team - One goal" At the conference, BSR Youth Union Secretary, Deputy Chief of Office Nguyen Huy Du presented a speech on "Promoting the spirit of solidarity of BSR youth in performing assigned tasks associated with BSR culture and spreading the culture of saving at the company". In which, BSR Youth Union identified the following goals: promoting the emulation movements of the Union to contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Company's Party Congress; Building a strong BSR Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, operating effectively, attractively, evoking the spirit of shock, volunteering, attracting a large number of youth union members to participate; Building a generation of youth with courage, intelligence, qualifications, knowing how to seize opportunities, mastering themselves; being a pioneer force in studying, building corporate culture, working creatively, mastering modern science and technology, actively contributing to building BSR for sustainable development; Building a team of young people with the spirit of solidarity, initiative, innovation, daring to think and act, for the common goals of the Company and the collective; Participating in propagating, applying and practicing the core cultural values of BSR to spread the good values and culture of Oil and Gas people.

Secretary of the BSR Youth Union, Deputy Chief of Office Nguyen Huy Du presented a speech on "Promoting the spirit of solidarity of BSR youth in performing assigned tasks associated with BSR culture and spreading the culture of saving at the company". BSR Youth Union takes 5 core values of BSR culture as its motto for action: Integrity - Professionalism - Solidarity - Creativity - Efficiency. In which, BSR Youth Union takes 2 core values as its motto for action in this period: Solidarity and Efficiency. BSR Youth Union offers solutions for Youth to implement to practice the spirit of Solidarity, which are: Clarify common goals in work; Put the individual under the collective. Be ready to take on personal responsibility. Support teammates in fulfilling their responsibilities. Understand the scope of personal responsibility, increase speed and efficiency of coordination. Put yourself in the shoes of your colleagues to understand and sympathize, be willing to share, support, and coordinate to complete the work with an attitude of respect and cooperation. Connect with colleagues, enrich your emotional account, care about each other not only in terms of work but also outside of work. Approach problems openly to develop together. Create a harmonious working environment, win-win and progress together. Share, help and support colleagues in the process of working and in life. Regarding the culture of saving, BSR Company issued Resolution No. 778/NQ-BSR dated March 13, 2024 of the Board of Directors on the Program of practicing thrift and fighting waste in 2024 of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company. Resolution No. 778 is a legal document that helps BSR employees in general and BSR Youth Union members in particular clearly define their responsibilities and tasks regarding saving and practicing a culture of saving at the Company.

Youth Union members presented their speeches and contributed their opinions at the Conference. The Conference also listened to two speeches from two affiliated Youth Unions, including: the Economic Youth Union presented its speech on solutions to save paper and electricity at the Company; the Information Technology Youth Union presented its speech on advanced technological solutions to promote innovation for tomorrow. The Youth Union members actively participated in contributing their opinions and exchanging opinions during the discussions of the Youth Unions. Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Vo Tan Phuong - Secretary of the Quality Management Youth Union said: In the past time, the Quality Management Board has applied 92 kaizens and 3 initiatives into practical work, in which many Youth Union members participated in these initiatives. There is an initiative to reduce the cost of chemicals and materials by about 15 - 20% used for the experimental work of the Quality Management Board. In particular, recently, the Quality Management Board has applied the initiative to research projects and solutions to improve the method of treating hazardous waste at Dung Quat Oil Refinery and has saved 3.3 billion VND. This initiative has the active participation of the Youth Union members of the Quality Management Board.

Ms. Truong Thi Thu Ha - Vice President of the Union, Deputy Head of BSR Human Resources Management Board spoke at the Conference . Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Truong Thi Thu Ha - Vice President of the Union, Deputy Head of BSR Human Resources Management Board acknowledged that BSR Youth Union has focused on developing cultural values revolving around 5 core values of BSR, emphasizing 2 values of Solidarity - Creativity. From there, BSR Youth Union members have been aware of self-action, determining goals, viewpoints and destinations. The presentations are related to daily life and all the contents today will be more practical. “I appreciate the comments and ideas expressed at the Conference, which are thoughts and concerns arising from daily work. The Company is promoting change management, adding new motivations, renewing old motivations, and overcoming difficult times together. And the Youth Union members will be the core force to help BSR develop sustainably” - Vice President of the Trade Union, Deputy Head of BSR Human Resources Management Board Truong Thi Thu Ha assessed.

BSR Deputy General Director Pham Minh Nghia gave a speech at the Conference. Speaking at the Conference, BSR Deputy General Director Pham Minh Nghia said: The One Team - One Goal program is an opportunity for BSR youth union members to identify strengths, efficiency that needs to be promoted; what is still limited and existing to propose solutions to overcome in professional work and political tasks of their departments and divisions. Through this activity, each member is aware of the responsibility to complete their tasks, contributing to the overall success of the Company. BSR Company is facing difficulties and challenges due to the sharp decline in oil prices. The Company's Board of Directors has applied a series of solutions to overcome difficulties such as optimizing capacity, optimizing products, and business solutions; in which saving has been and is being thoroughly applied. BSR Deputy General Director Pham Minh Nghia asked the union members and youth to understand and share the difficulties the Company is facing. BSR has been building a culture of solidarity, together overcoming market difficulties. BSR Deputy General Director Pham Minh Nghia assigned the Office to coordinate with the organization to collect opinions, suggestions, suggestions, and solutions from union members and youth; then synthesize and propose to the Company's leadership to apply in production and business practices.
