Much information about the recruitment needs of Korean enterprises was shared at the Vietnam - Korea Culture and Recruitment Festival 2025 organized by the Vietnam - Korea Institute of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology on May 15, on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of this unit's establishment.
Korean enterprises are creating jobs for millions of Vietnamese workers.
Present at the event, Mr. Jeong Ji-hoon, Vice President of the Korean Business Association in Vietnam - KOCHAM, said: "Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1992, Korea and Vietnam have continuously expanded economic cooperation. As of 2024, Korea's total investment capital in Vietnam has reached about 87.4 billion USD, making Korea the largest investor in Vietnam."

According to Mr. Jeong Ji-hoon, there are currently more than 10,000 Korean enterprises operating in Vietnam. Of which, in the Central and Southern regions, there are about 4,000 Korean enterprises such as Samsung Electronics, CJ, Lotte, POSCO, Mirae Asset, Shinhan Bank... directly creating jobs for more than one million Vietnamese workers.
"Investment from Korean enterprises is not only limited to traditional industries such as textiles and garments, but also spreads to high-tech fields such as electricity and electronics, pharmaceuticals, information technology...", Mr. Jeong Ji-hoon added.
Mr. Ryu Seung-ho, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City, stated that Vietnam and Korea are not only economic partners, but also strategic partners working towards common development.
"At the heart of that relationship are young talents. I hope that Vietnamese students and Korean businesses will cooperate to bring a bright future to our two countries," Mr. Ryu Seung-ho shared.
At the event, nearly 30 Korean and Vietnamese enterprises brought many jobs in various fields of finance, trade, manufacturing, services, technology - engineering. "This is an opportunity for Korean enterprises to meet directly and bring career opportunities to students about to graduate - young factors with great potential", Mr. Jeong Ji-hoon commented.
Starting salary for graduates from 8-10 million VND/month
Present at the job fair, Shinhan Finance Company Limited is recruiting for many different positions. Among them, jobs requiring 6 months to 1 year of experience include welfare and payroll staff, debt collection staff, sales... Positions for recent graduates who do not require experience include data entry staff, credit history checkers, admin...
"The starting salary for those without experience is from 8-10 million VND. Sales staff will have higher income. For those with experience, the salary will be negotiated and will certainly be higher than that of new graduates," said Mr. Hoang Dinh Phuc, human resources department of Shinhan Company.
Students explore job opportunities at a Korean company

Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Trinh, Human Resources Department of Nextway Company, said that participating in this job fair, Nextway Company hopes to recruit 10 electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineers to undertake the work of reading standard operating procedures and training workers to check components and materials in the electronics and refrigeration industry (TVs, washing machines, refrigerators, etc.).
Ms. Trinh informed: "Graduates majoring in electricity, electronics, and mechanics can apply and participate in the preliminary selection on the spot. New graduates or non-graduates will be trained. In addition to expertise, the company requires students to have communication skills, teamwork, and being good at Korean and Chinese is an advantage. Some recruited candidates may be team leaders, so the company will highly appreciate candidates with leadership skills."
Sinasean Global Company specializes in distributing frozen seafood products from Korea to Southeast Asian countries. It also needs to recruit call center staff for appointment booking (B2B marketing), sales, content development, human resources administration... with degrees in fields such as marketing and business administration.
"Our company highly values young people who are eager to learn, adapt quickly and can withstand work pressure. The starting salary is from 8-10 million VND/month for new graduates," said Ms. Truong To Hoai An, recruitment department of Sinasean Global company.

At the event, students and lecturers from many universities that offer Korean language and Korean studies such as Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogy, Open Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Tat Thanh, Van Hien, Hong Bang International... were present to experience many activities such as Vietnamese - Korean food booths, student startup poster exhibition, robot dance performance, Taekwondo performance - Korea, Squid Game, K-POP Random Dance, cultural exchange...

In addition, the "Korea in Me" contest helps students develop their Korean language skills and critical thinking, while contributing to promoting cultural understanding and strengthening the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Korea in the integration period.
On this occasion, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology also signed agreements on "Training human resources linked to business needs" with 5 Korean enterprises in Vietnam to expand internship and employment opportunities for students.
