The match between the Thai women's futsal team and Canada took place last night (November 25) in the Philippines. The Thai women's futsal team opened the scoring quite early, thanks to Darika in the 2nd minute. Just two minutes later, Darika scored again, helping the women's team from the land of golden pagodas to take a 2-0 lead.

Before the first half ended (in futsal, each half is 20 minutes, not counting the time the ball is out of play), Sangrawee scored to give Thailand a 3-2 lead in the 20th minute.
Early in the second half, Lagace leveled the score 3-3 for Canada in the 23rd minute. But that was all the North American team could do in this match.

Thailand scored three more goals, thanks to Darika in the 25th minute, Arriya in the 30th minute and Jenjira in the 32nd minute, thereby securing a 6-3 victory.
This is the first victory of the Thai women's futsal team in the history of the FIFA Women's Futsal World Cup. Thailand is temporarily ranked second in Group B with 3 points after two matches, 3 points behind the leading team Spain.
Thailand is tied on points with third-placed Colombia, but the Thai team is ranked higher thanks to a better goal difference. Thailand will face Colombia on November 28 for a place in the quarterfinals. The Thai team only needs a draw to complete their goal.
Meanwhile, the remaining representative of Southeast Asia, the Philippines, faces the risk of being eliminated early. The home team has lost two matches, against Poland (0-6) and Morocco (2-3). In the final match, the Philippines will have to face the very strong Argentina.
