The women's football rankings are updated quarterly by FIFA (every 3 months). The second quarter was announced by FIFA today (June 9). Accordingly, the Vietnamese women's team has 1,649 points, ranked 32nd in the world, ranked 5th in Asia and continues to solidify its No. 1 position in Southeast Asia. Compared to the first quarter rankings, Huynh Nhu and her teammates have accumulated 5.23 more points.

In the 3 months of the second quarter, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team played 7 matches in the first qualifying round of the 2024 Paris Olympics in Asia and the 32nd SEA Games. The team won 6 and lost only one match against the Philippines in the group stage of the 32nd SEA Games. However, this defeat did not affect the FIFA ranking of the Vietnamese women's team much.

In Southeast Asia, Thailand (1,531 points) ranked 12 places behind the Vietnamese women's team. The Philippines (1,513 points) ranked 3rd in the region, but rose 3 places to 46th in the world. The next positions are Myanmar (50th in the world), Laos (87th), Malaysia (89th)... Cambodia alone, with a ticket to the semi-finals of the historic SEA Games, rose one place, ranking 118th and 8th in Southeast Asia.
