(BDO) The only goal by striker Tuan Hai helped the Vietnam national team defeat Syria 1-0 in the FIFA Days friendly match series in June 2023. This is quite an impressive achievement for coach Philippe Troussier in his first time as captain of the Vietnam national team in the first two official matches.

Entering the second friendly match taking place on the evening of June 20 at Thien Truong Stadium ( Nam Dinh ) in the FIFA Days series in June 2023, coach Philippe Troussier did not make many changes. Two players Cong Phuong and Thai Son were given the opportunity, in addition, the framework of the Vietnam National Team was almost unchanged compared to the 1-0 victory over Hong Kong 5 days ago.

After a goalless first half, coach Philippe Troussier made a change at the beginning of the second half by sending striker Tuan Hai onto the field. Exactly 4 minutes after entering the field, the striker from Hanoi had an extremely dangerous kick to open the score 1-0 for the Vietnam team.
For most of the remaining time, the boys in red were still the proactive players and had many dangerous situations. In the end, the Vietnam team defeated Syria 1-0 after 90 minutes.
