Bau Bang District: Accelerating the completion of infrastructure system

Bau Bang district has made its mark in attracting investment thanks to its continuous efforts in building and perfecting its infrastructure system. From convenient transportation, modern industrial parks to flourishing trade and services, all are contributing to creating a new look for the locality, opening up many opportunities for sustainable development.

Transportation opens the way for development

Bau Bang district is clearly transforming thanks to strong investment in connecting traffic infrastructure. In recent years, many key routes passing through the district have been invested in upgrading and expanding such as DT749A, My Phuoc - Bau Bang, helping to connect with key economic areas of the province and the Southeast region. Important traffic axes such as DH618, Tan Long - Lai Uyen belonging to the North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang dynamic road corridor have also been completed, contributing to the formation of an effective inter-regional traffic network.

Traffic infrastructure in Bau Bang district is increasingly synchronous and modern.

In addition, investment in upgrading rural traffic has been promoted by Bau Bang district. From 2020 to present, the district has invested nearly 823.5 billion VND to upgrade more than 69km of rural roads. Thanks to that, up to now, 100% of the roads managed by the district have been asphalted and concreted; the rate of roads managed by communes and towns that have been hardened has reached 65.8%.

Long Nguyen Commune is one of the typical localities in terms of infrastructure development. The whole commune has 264 roads with a total length of nearly 189km, including many main routes such as DT749A, DT749C, DH610, DH611. Currently, 84 roads managed by the commune have been paved with hot asphalt and cement concrete with a total length of more than 65km. Mr. Le Huu Nang, a resident of Long Nguyen Commune, shared: Previously, many roads in the area were muddy, making it very difficult to travel during the rainy season. Currently, the roads are clear, vehicles circulate conveniently, and the transportation of agricultural products and goods is much easier, so people's lives are better, and everyone is very excited.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong, Chairman of Bau Bang District People's Committee, affirmed that the district always considers investment in transport infrastructure as a top priority. When transport is convenient, the economic "flow" is cleared, helping the locality develop strongly and improve people's lives.

Breakthrough from industrial and service infrastructure

Along with transportation, industrial park (IP) infrastructure is a decisive factor in Bau Bang's ability to attract investment. The locality has been perfecting the IP system in a synchronous and modern direction to meet the requirements of high-tech industrial development and ensure environmental protection.

In Bau Bang district, there are currently 1,514 domestic and foreign investment projects, with a total registered capital of more than 32,577 billion VND and nearly 4.69 billion USD.

Bau Bang District has made efforts to complete the infrastructure of existing and under-construction industrial parks, including Bau Bang Industrial Park, Bau Bang Expansion Industrial Park, Tan Binh Industrial Park (part of Bau Bang District) and Cay Truong Industrial Park. Completing the infrastructure of industrial parks such as building roads, electricity, water, waste treatment systems, etc. ensures that the industrial parks develop sustainably, are environmentally friendly, and attract more and more quality foreign investors. Typically, Bau Bang Industrial Park and Bau Bang Expansion Industrial Park have invested in building a centralized wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of up to 12,000m³/day and night, meeting the discharge needs of the two industrial parks.

Meanwhile, the commercial and service infrastructure system in the district is also being gradually improved to best serve the needs of the people. Currently, the district has 10 markets, 22 gas stations, 10 bank branches/transaction offices, ensuring the ability to serve financial transactions for organizations and individuals in the area. In the period of 2020-2024, Bau Bang district has mobilized a total social investment capital of 6,177 billion VND, an average increase of 4.08%/year. Of which, the capital managed by the locality accounts for a large proportion, reaching 5,863 billion VND (94.92%), the rest is other legal capital sources. This resource is prioritized for essential infrastructure projects such as transportation, water supply and drainage, health , culture, and public works serving people's lives.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong, Chairman of Bau Bang District People's Committee, emphasized that promoting the potential, advantages, and available resources, the locality is gradually perfecting the synchronous infrastructure system, focusing on mobilizing resources and economic sectors to participate in effectively exploiting the potential and advantages of the district. Bau Bang strives to maintain a high economic growth rate, shifting the structure towards industry - trade - agriculture ; effectively implementing solutions to develop high-quality services, promoting administrative reform to create the most favorable conditions for people and businesses; attracting and developing human resources, focusing on protecting the ecological environment.
