Every year, on the occasion of Uncle Ho's birthday, Mr. Ho Van Lien - a Ca Dong ethnic group in the mountainous district of Bac Tra My, remembers the book "Uncle Ho and Quang land". Mr. Ho Van Lien's family has 4 members, all of whom are party members. Mr. Lien's family is always exemplary, working hard to do business and raise livestock to develop the family economy . Because according to him, having the surname of Uncle Ho, they must be worthy of being his descendants.
“In the past, we Ca Dong people did not have a family name. Since the Party and Uncle Ho came into existence, the Ca Dong people have taken Uncle Ho's family name as their own. Most of us Ca Dong people have the family name Uncle Ho. We all love and respect Uncle Ho,” said Mr. Ho Van Lien (Tra Giap commune, Bac Tra My).

At the age of 16, the Co boy Ho Ngoc Linh packed his bags and left to join the 409th Special Forces Battalion (stationed in the Central Highlands). He was buried in a bunker many times by B52 bombers, but with the steadfast spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the son of Uncle Ho was not discouraged, determined to overcome many difficulties with his comrades and teammates, fighting steadfastly until the day of national reunification.
In gratitude to Uncle Ho, many Co people like Mr. Linh have taken the surname Ho as their family and clan surname. Holding Uncle Ho's portrait in his hand, Mr. Linh, now 80 years old, choked up remembering the difficult war days when the people here were immersed in poverty, oppression, slavery, and hardships in every way. Thanks to the Party and Uncle Ho, the people have food to eat, clothes to wear, and a full life like today.
"We are very proud and honored to have the surname Ho. On Uncle Ho's birthday (May 19), our people hung the national flag to commemorate our beloved Uncle Ho" - Mr. Ho Ngoc Linh (Tra My town, Bac Tra My) emotionally said.
