Comrade Nguyen Canh Toan was elected by the People's Council of Lang Son province to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, term 2021-2026.

The People's Council of Lang Son province heard the presentation and draft resolution introducing comrade Nguyen Canh Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, for the Provincial People's Council to elect to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, term 17, term 2021-2026.

At the election, with 44/44 votes of the attending delegates, reaching 100%, the People's Council of Lang Son province elected comrade Nguyen Canh Toan to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, term 17, 2021-2026.

Comrade Nguyen Canh Toan, born on March 25, 1976; hometown: Quynh Phu commune, Nghe An province; political theory level: Advanced; professional level: Master of Human Resource Management.

On February 27, 2025, he was transferred and assigned by the Party Central Committee Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee. Before holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Canh Toan was Vice Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises.

During his career, comrade Nguyen Canh Toan has held positions at the State Audit Office, the Central Economic Committee (now the Central Policy and Strategy Committee), and the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Doan Thi Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Lang Son province congratulated comrade Nguyen Canh Toan on being elected to the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province.
