
Accordingly, due to the impact of storms No. 10 and 11, there was prolonged heavy rain in the commune, causing serious landslides in Then Van village. The estimated volume of landslides was about 10,000m³, forming a crack about 600m long.
That situation leads to the risk of directly affecting the lives and property of 6 households (30 people) and 11 households are at risk of affecting their houses, along with many infrastructure works such as schools, medical stations, and houses.

Currently, the commune's kindergartens, primary schools and medical stations have many cracks, damaged walls, and rocks and soil have flooded into the public housing, endangering 131 students, 36 teachers, medical staff and nearby households.
Immediately after announcing the decision, Pa Vay Su commune authorities held a meeting to get people's opinions on plans to move to a safe place.

Accordingly, 28 households in the landslide-prone area have agreed and registered to relocate to a new location, about 2km from the village center.
Pa Vay Su Commune is also urgently surveying the site, arranging land funds and mobilizing resources to support people in relocation, ensuring safety of life and long-term stability.
