Comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation and representatives of relevant departments, branches and sectors welcomed the working delegation.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Kim Yeon Pung - Chairman of the Korean Trade Union Confederation in Gyeonggi Province thanked the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Nghe An Province for the warm welcome. Emphasizing the increasingly developing cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea, he hoped that the provincial leaders would pay attention and support so that the cooperation between the Korean Trade Union in Gyeonggi Province and the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation would be more effective.
Welcoming the delegation, Comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh affirmed the comprehensive and good relationship between Vietnam and Korea over the past 31 years. Recently, Korean investment in Vietnam has grown strongly; 24 projects of Korean enterprises and investors with a total registered capital of 166.7 million USD have been granted investment registration certificates.
For many years, Nghe An has had international cooperation and friendship with two Korean provinces, Gyeonggi and Gwangju. In particular, Nghe An and Gyeonggi signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish friendly and cooperative relations in 2009 and re-signed in 2014. At the city level, Vinh city and Namyangju city established relations in 2005. After 13 years of cooperation, the two provinces have implemented activities in the fields of economy , culture - society, humanitarian aid... Gyeonggi province is also where many Vietnamese and Nghe An workers come to live and work.
Last May, a working delegation of the People's Council of Nghe An province led by comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh also visited and worked in Gyeonggi province (South Korea).
Welcoming the delegation of the Gyeonggi Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh highly appreciated the cooperative relationship between the two provinces. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, the two localities will have more specific and practical cooperative activities to develop this good relationship.
He also hoped that after the working trip, the Gyeonggi Provincial Federation of Trade Unions would further promote the potential and investment and trade opportunities of Nghe An province to businesses in Korea.
In a friendly atmosphere, representatives of the two units gave each other meaningful gifts typical of their localities./.
