On the afternoon of February 20, in Ha Long city (Quang Ninh), comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, had a meeting with comrade Tran Cuong, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Regional Party Committee, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.
Attending the reception were the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees of 4 provinces: Quang Ninh, Ha Giang , Lang Son and Cao Bang.
Speaking at the reception, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, congratulated Comrade Tran Cuong on being assigned the new responsibility of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang affirmed that in recent times, the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China has been developing and improving through historic visits by the highest leaders of the two Parties and States. He welcomed the four provinces: Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China) for effectively implementing the Spring Meeting program between the Secretaries of Provincial/Regional Party Committees. Through the mechanism of the Spring Meeting and the annual Joint Working Committee Conference, the cooperation contents have been implemented effectively and practically. Thereby, continuing to concretize the high-level common awareness of the leaders of the two Parties and States of Vietnam and China, maintaining contact between high-level leaders; further tightening the friendship, enhancing exchanges, communication, practical, effective and comprehensive cooperation of the five provinces/regions. This is a very important time for both Vietnam and China, a time when both countries are focusing on solutions to create breakthroughs for development. Therefore, continuing to further promote cooperation between the two Parties, the two States as well as localities plays a very important role in the common development of the two countries, contributing to the development of friendly neighborly relations and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China.
Promoting the achieved results, hoping that the 2025 Spring Meeting program and the 16th Joint Working Committee Conference will be successful, continuing to contribute to promoting the cooperative relationship between localities to go deeper and deeper.
Secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Party Committee Chen Gang thanked the leaders of the Party, State of Vietnam and localities for their warm welcome. He affirmed that the traditional and friendly neighborly relationship has been and is being cultivated by the leaders of the two Parties and countries of China and Vietnam, helping the two sides develop together. Guangxi attaches special importance to the friendly and cooperative relationship with Vietnamese localities, especially the four border provinces adjacent to Guangxi; determined to effectively implement the high-level common perception, making practical contributions to the relationship between the two Parties and the two States.
Secretary of the Regional Party Committee Tran Cuong affirmed that in the current context, consolidating and developing the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, sharing community, and the future of Vietnam - China is very important for the common development of the two countries. The potential for cooperation between Guangxi and Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang in particular and other localities of Vietnam is still very large; hoping that on the basis of the achieved results, in the coming time, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and localities of Vietnam will continue to concretize the contents agreed upon by the high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and the two States; promoting cooperation in many fields to achieve higher efficiency, helping people on both sides of the border to have a more prosperous and happier life.
Tomorrow morning (February 21), in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province, the Spring Meeting 2025 program will be held between the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees of 4 provinces: Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang (Vietnam) and the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).
