(DN) - On the morning of August 24, in La Nga commune, the Provincial Youth Union and the Youth Union of Dong Nai province jointly organized the launching ceremony of the Peak Day of joining hands to build new rural areas and the 5th Green Sunday - 2025.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Tran Phuong Ha said: In recent times, Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province have widely deployed the Dong Nai Youth Movement joining hands to build new rural areas and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Project participating in environmental protection and responding to climate change.

After more than 10 years of implementation, the movement and project have attracted a large number of union members and young people to participate, contributing to the completion of environmental criteria in new rural construction, gradually improving the material and spiritual life of rural people. Thereby promoting the role of cadres, union members and young people in propaganda work, environmental protection, construction and development of agriculture , farmers and rural areas.

To effectively carry out activities to participate in environmental protection and respond to climate change, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Tran Phuong Ha requested that Youth Union chapters at all levels promote propaganda, education, and encourage union members and young people to participate in environmental protection activities and green transformation through practical actions. Continue to effectively implement the National Target Program on New Rural Construction on the basis of inheriting and promoting the results achieved in the 2021-2025 period; in which, proactively volunteer to take on tasks suitable to the characteristics of young people...

At the launching ceremony, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union presented 25 trash bins to support waste classification for households in La Nga commune; and presented 20 gifts to former youth volunteers in difficult circumstances.

After the launching ceremony, a tree planting campaign was organized; medical examination, health consultation, free medicine distribution and gift giving to former youth volunteers, people with meritorious services to the revolution, policy families, ethnic minorities; environmental cleaning campaign; propaganda on waste classification at source...
