Accordingly, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned Dong Nai Museum to add the villa of Governor Vo Ha Thanh, commonly known as "Mr. Phu's house" to the roadmap for ranking provincial-level relics, period 2020 - 2025.

The deadline for completing the dossier for ranking the monument of the "Mr. Phu's mansion" is before April 2025. After completion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province will propose to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to carry out a project for conservation and restoration in accordance with regulations.

Currently, Dong Nai province authorities have not yet identified the heirs to the land and villa, nor have they divided the inheritance according to the provisions of law.

The entire compensation and support fund for the ancient villa when building the Dong Nai riverside road project is also being temporarily held at the State Treasury.

This is the latest move by Dong Nai province authorities after the Standing Committee of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee directed the preservation and promotion of the cultural, historical and architectural values of the villa.

After receiving instructions, the Department of Construction of Dong Nai province proposed 4 solutions including: relocating the house (1), straightening the riverside road (2), creating a roundabout around the square surrounding the project (3), and creating a different traffic route combined with a flower garden island surrounding the project (4).

The ancient villa project "Mr. Phu's house" in Quarter 5, Buu Long Ward, Bien Hoa City is located within the planning scope of the Dong Nai River embankment and road project, and is valued at nearly 5.4 billion VND in compensation.

This building was completed in 1924 and is now in disrepair due to lack of restoration. In 2016, the Dong Nai provincial government listed the villa as a historical site. However, at that time, the person directly managing the house did not agree to the historical site classification.

The Dong Nai river embankment and road project is 5.2 km long from Bien Hoa city to Vinh Cuu district, with a total investment of nearly 2,000 billion VND. The "Mr. Phu's mansion" project overlaps with the project planning by about 9m (equivalent to half the area of the villa).
