Dong Nai seeks solutions to preserve and develop traditional ceramic craft in the integration period

Attending the discussion were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung, representatives of the Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ) and leaders of departments, branches and sectors in the province.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Van Thang, this seminar is an opportunity for departments, branches, associations and businesses to have a comprehensive view of the current situation, potential and sustainable development solutions for this industry in the new context.

At the seminar, leaders of relevant departments, branches and Dong Nai Fine Arts Ceramics Association, Dong Nai Decorative Arts College shared and discussed solutions to preserve and develop the traditional ceramic craft of Bien Hoa - Dong Nai in the context of integration and increasingly developing science and technology.

In particular, solutions are proposed to preserve core traditional values, while promoting innovation so that the pottery profession can adapt to the development trend of the times, create jobs, increase income for workers and contribute to the development of the local economy and culture. In addition, many opinions also put forward solutions to promote digital transformation, enhance trade promotion, expand domestic and international consumption markets, and build a brand for Bien Hoa pottery.

Speaking at the seminar, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung emphasized that the seminar was an opportunity for relevant parties to share, analyze, and propose practical and effective ideas and solutions to preserve and develop the traditional Bien Hoa pottery craft. In particular, it is necessary to focus on the role of Bien Hoa pottery in preserving the local cultural identity, as well as being a driving force for tourism, economic, creative and local brand development in the period of international integration.
