Dong Thap approves planning tasks for Song Hau 2 Industrial Park and Cao Lanh III Industrial Park
The People's Council of Dong Thap province, term X, 2021 - 2026, has just issued a Resolution on approving the task of making a master plan for the construction of Song Hau 2 Industrial Park and a Resolution on approving the task of making a zoning plan for the construction of Cao Lanh III Industrial Park.
Accordingly, the scope of research for the general planning of Song Hau 2 Industrial Park is the area along National Highway N2B, National Highway 80, National Highway 54, in the communes of Binh Thanh, Dinh An, Dinh Yen, Lap Vo district, Dong Thap province.
The proposed scale of the master plan for Song Hau 2 Industrial Park is about 710 hectares. Of which, the investment phase of the industrial park infrastructure project by phase until 2030 is 282 hectares and the orientation is to expand with a scale of 428 hectares after 2030 according to long-term development needs.

The goal is to build Song Hau 2 Industrial Park into a key driving industrial park of the southern Tien River region of Dong Thap province, promoting industrialization, developing infrastructure, improving people's lives, and ensuring environmental conditions and social security.
In terms of nature, this is a multi-industry industrial park with synchronous, modern, friendly, environmentally friendly and sustainable technical infrastructure; the focus is on attracting investment to develop industries and fields with high technology, engineering, new technology, information technology, digital transformation, digital engineering, precision mechanical support industry, manufacturing, electrical and electronic assembly, new construction materials, chemical - pharmaceutical groups, deep processing industries serving the agricultural - aquatic product chain, garment and footwear production groups, industries associated with key economic groups, in line with the planning orientation of the province, promoting the strengths of transportation, local and regional raw material areas, serving the agricultural economic value chain, flexibly meeting the diverse needs of investors in terms of land use scale, etc.
It is forecasted that the labor force at Song Hau 2 Industrial Park will reach about 13,820 people by 2030; and about 34,790 people by 2045.
Cao Lanh III Industrial Park has a research area for zoning planning along National Highway 30, in the area of Binh Hang Trung and Binh Hang Tay communes, Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province. The research area for planning is 94 hectares (Binh Hang Trung commune 19 hectares, Binh Hang Tay commune 75 hectares).
The nature of Cao Lanh III Industrial Park, Cao Lanh District is a multi-industry industrial park with synchronous and modern technical infrastructure, environmental protection, sustainable development; focusing on attracting investment to develop industries and key areas such as developing industries with high technology and engineering content, precision mechanics, manufacturing and assembling electrical, electronic, telecommunications equipment, pharmaceuticals, essential oil extraction, goods preservation, deep processing industries, serving the agricultural product chain of the province and the region. In particular, priority is given to developing industries in the fields of logistics services, ports, warehouse systems, logistics to serve logistics and create development links with Cao Lanh Industrial - Urban - Service Parks, Cao Lanh II Industrial Park, .... and neighboring areas.
The labor force at Cao Lanh III Industrial Park, Cao Lanh district is expected to reach about 2,100 people.
