Do Vinh Ward: Urgently evacuated 85 households to safety

On the evening of November 19, Mr. Le Kim Hiep - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Do Vinh Ward said that due to prolonged heavy rain, the water level of Dinh River rose rapidly, the locality mobilized forces and means to support people in vulnerable areas and local flooding to evacuate to a safe place.

Move assets to a safe place.

As of 5 p.m. the same day, the ward forces had supported 85 households with 300 people in Residential Group 1 and Residential Group 5, along with their assets, to move out of vulnerable areas at risk of deep flooding and landslides; organized the relocation of equipment for Nhon Son Medical Station; locked the flood discharge line to prevent water from entering Yen Son field; planted stakes and hung warning ropes in dangerous areas. At the same time, focused on implementing the "4 on-site" plan, including fully and promptly preparing food, drinking water, medicine, necessities and rescue equipment, ensuring on-site reserves to be ready to support people during the evacuation and temporary stay.

Currently, the forces of Do Vinh ward are continuing to support households in the Dinh riverside area to evacuate to safe places; mobilizing people in low-lying areas to move their assets and belongings to high places to avoid damage and loss. The locality also directed forces to monitor key points, spillways, and flood discharge channels to mobilize and guide people and focus on handling situations promptly; continue to monitor weather developments and flood discharge situations of reservoirs to focus on directing and responding promptly and effectively, resolutely evacuating assets and people in low-lying areas to safe places, avoiding damage to people and property.
