Groundbreaking ceremony of component 2 of Cao Lanh Expressway project

The An Huu - Cao Lanh Expressway connecting Tien Giang province with Dong Thap province is about 27km long, with a total project investment of VND 7,496 billion, divided into two component projects.

Component project 1 through Dong Thap province has a total investment of over 3,600 billion VND, and was started in June 2023.

Component 2 project runs through Tien Giang province (8km) and partly through Dong Thap province (3km). The total investment is about 3,856 billion VND, with Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee as the managing agency.

Tien Giang held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Cao Lanh - An Huu Expressway project, component 2.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong, Director of the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Civil and Industrial Works of Tien Giang Province, the starting point of component project 2 is adjacent to the starting point of component project 1 (Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province), the end point is adjacent to the Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway (Cai Be district, Tien Giang province).

There are two interchanges on the route, including the interchange with Provincial Road 850 in Cao Lanh District, Dong Thap Province and the interchange with Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway in Cai Be District, Tien Giang.

In phase 1, the project has a scale of 4 limited expressway lanes, operating speed of 80km/h; in the complete phase, it has a scale of 4 expressway lanes, operating speed of 100km/h.

The project is invested by the State budget, with a total investment of about 3,856 billion VND. Of which, the cost of site clearance is about 1,255 billion VND. Implementation period is from 2022-2027.

Mr. Phan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of Cai Be District People's Committee, Tien Giang, said that the district has approved compensation and site clearance (GPMB) funds for 477 affected households with a total amount of over 1,000 billion VND.

The Cao Lanh - An Huu Expressway project, component 2, Tien Giang side, has paid 100% compensation and site clearance.

Also in component project 2, the section passing through Dong Thap province has paid compensation and site clearance has reached over 89%. The remaining 20 out of 188 households have not received money and are complaining about the price. Currently, the local government of Dong Thap province is urgently propagating and mobilizing households to receive money and hand over the land for the project.

The construction unit is a joint venture of Truong Son Construction Corporation - Construction Joint Stock Company 368 - Thanh Phat Construction Company Limited - Bridge 75 Construction Joint Stock Company - IDC Dong Duong Joint Stock Company - Truong Thanh Investment Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company.

The representative of the joint venture contractor said that they have mobilized more than 100 vehicles, machines and hundreds of workers determined to ensure progress and quality.
