At the end of July 2024, the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Ninh province for the 2024-2029 term will take place. The spirit of emulation and practical achievements to welcome the congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, towards the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Ninh province and the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is spreading throughout the localities and units in the province. Hundreds of meaningful works and tasks aimed at the grassroots level have been selected and coordinated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels with socialized contributions; thereby, contributing to consolidating and strengthening the great solidarity bloc of ethnic groups, building a model, rich, beautiful and civilized Quang Ninh province.
Meaningful works and projects
Towards the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Ninh province, term 2024-2029, Van Don district not only focuses on information and propaganda work but also arouses an exciting and enthusiastic competitive atmosphere throughout residential areas with practical works and tasks chaired and coordinated by the District Fatherland Front Committee. A typical example is the Van Don Economic Zone Cultural - Sports Center project, which was just inaugurated in mid-May. The construction project, with a total investment of 90.1 billion VND, includes the main items: a 1,250-seat multi-purpose gymnasium; 2 modern swimming pools; an event venue of about 8,500m2; an artificial turf football field; 4 tennis courts and many modern auxiliary works.
Ms. Vu Thi Hoi, Head of the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairwoman of the Van Don District Fatherland Front Committee, said: Closely following the direction and orientation of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and the actual needs of the people in the area, the District Fatherland Front Committee has coordinated with units to select and implement the Van Don Economic Zone Cultural - Sports Center project and was given a signboard to welcome the 12th Congress of the Quang Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front. During the implementation process, the project received the consensus and support of the majority of people in the area, quickly handing over the site to ensure construction progress. The project put into use will bring practical values, contributing to caring for the spiritual life of the people, developing physical training and sports activities in the district. This will also be a place to strongly promote exchange and integration activities, sports activities of the province and districts, towns and cities in the province.
Van Don Economic Zone Cultural - Sports Center - a project to welcome the 12th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress was completed on schedule in the joy and excitement of the Party Committee, government and the people.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Van, Head of the Folk Dance Club of Village 6, Ha Long Commune (Van Don District) shared: The club was established and has been operating for more than 2 years now. The Van Don Economic Zone Cultural - Sports Center is built right in the area, we will have a convenient playground and have the opportunity to participate in more large-scale exchange activities.
Along with the Van Don District Cultural - Sports Center Project, the two projects of Ngo Quyen High School and Provincial Road 342 in Ba Che District, along with two tasks "Supporting 200 Great Solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien Province towards the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory", "Undertaking support to improve the quality of housing for poor and near-poor households according to the new criteria of Quang Ninh Province" were selected to welcome the 12th Congress of the Fatherland Front of Quang Ninh Province. These are all projects and tasks that originate from the interests of the people, serving the needs of the people in each residential area.
The family of Ly A Nhi, one of the poor households in Su Cau village, Huc Dong commune (Binh Lieu district) received 80 million VND in support to build a new house. Ly A Nhi confided: The house I live in has been degraded for a long time, the whole family has to stay with relatives due to the rain and wind. My husband and I have unstable jobs, mainly working in the forest, doing whatever jobs anyone hires us to do, so we never thought we would be able to build a new house. Thanks to the support of all levels of the industry and the help of relatives, my husband and I have boldly built a new house and are in the process of laying the foundation. My family is really excited.
To implement support and help improve housing quality for poor and near-poor households according to multidimensional criteria applied in the province, since the beginning of the year, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has supported the construction of 43 houses (30 new houses, 13 houses repaired) and the construction of 17 new hygienic toilets (VND 4 million/house) with a total cost of over VND 2.7 billion.
Exciting competitive spirit
To welcome the Congress of the Fatherland Front at all levels towards the 12th Congress of the Fatherland Front of Quang Ninh province and the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, from October 2023, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee launched an emulation movement with the theme "High consensus, good emulation, early finish". The special emulation campaign to welcome the congress of the Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024-2029 term not only affirms the role of the Front in gathering and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc but also encourages and motivates people of all walks of life to enthusiastically participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns chaired and launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the locality. Each district and commune level locality implements at least 1 project or task demonstrating innovation and creativity in performing well the functions and tasks of the Fatherland Front, while being suitable to the situation of each locality and meeting the needs of the people.
Typical: Building "Great Unity" houses for households in difficult circumstances; upgrading electricity, roads, schools, stations; helping households in difficulty with capital, production seeds, creating livelihoods... Not only that, with the role of a bridge between the people and the Party and the State, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have promoted the spirit of great national unity, effectively implementing emulation movements and campaigns, especially the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" with hundreds of flower roads, spacious, clean and beautiful model roads.
Mr. Bui Duc Doan, Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Ha Long City Fatherland Front Committee, said: "All 33 communes and wards of the city have projects and tasks to welcome the Fatherland Front Congresses at all levels, towards the 12th Quang Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Congress and the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. In particular, the projects are mainly to upgrade schools, social security and welfare. In particular, mobilizing organizations, unions and people to join hands to build model roads with security cameras. Putting model roads and streets into use is not only a project to serve people's lives but also to gradually complete traffic infrastructure, promote socio-economic development, ensure environmental sanitation, improve the quality of life of people, and contribute to building Ha Long City as a "model, modern, rich, beautiful, civilized and affectionate".
Not only does it have the meaning of welcoming the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, through meaningful works and tasks, it also contributes to affirming the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, together with the entire political system, to successfully carry out the tasks set out in the new situation. This is a prominent mark, an effective way of working, laying a solid foundation for the successes in the new term 2024-2029 of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province.
Mr. Hoang Duc Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, affirmed: The selection and registration of projects and tasks to welcome the congress of the Fatherland Front system in the province are focused and key, suitable to the actual conditions of each locality, ensuring clear names, clear tasks, clear content, political and social significance and practicality, for the benefit of the people. During the implementation process, the Fatherland Front Committee at each level organizes inspections and urges the implementation of emulation contents registered by lower levels, as a basis for evaluating emulation results and considering the implementation of commendation work. According to statistics of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, there are a total of 340 projects and tasks implemented on this occasion; including 335 projects implemented at the district and commune levels and 5 projects at the provincial level.
Up to now, Quang Ninh province has completed the organization of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the commune and district levels for the 2024-2029 term. With determination, the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Quang Ninh province will take place as planned, scheduled for July 30 and 31.
The positive results in the special emulation movement "High consensus, good emulation, early finish" not only affirm the position and role of the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province in gathering and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc but also encourage and motivate people of all walks of life to enthusiastically participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns initiated by the Fatherland Front, contributing to the development of the locality.
