However, Lien Chieu Port Project has difficulty finding common construction materials (stone) in Da Nang City.
To overcome this difficulty, in the period of 2024 - 2025, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Da Nang City has allowed mines to increase their mining capacity to less than 15% of the mineral mining capacity stated in the valid Mining License. Therefore, the supply of materials for key projects in the city is temporarily met.
As of September 14, 2024, Lien Chieu Port Project has disbursed 78.4% of the 2024 capital plan, equivalent to VND 658,255 billion (of which, the central budget capital is VND 528,223 billion, Da Nang City budget capital is VND 130,032 billion).
Regarding the Coastal Road Project connecting Lien Chieu Port, Mr. Le Thanh Hung, Director of the Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects of Da Nang City, said that the committed progress is still being ensured, with the construction volume reaching 34.44% of the contract volume. However, the site clearance work for this project has not been completed yet.
The Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects of Da Nang City has actively coordinated with the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District and the Land Clearance Council of Lien Chieu District to promptly complete compensation and clearance procedures, and organize invitations to mobilize households to hand over the land in September 2024. For cases where the household owners do not comply, the Land Clearance Council will establish procedures for compulsory land recovery according to regulations.
