Coffee price forecast for tomorrow, March 9, 2025, "slows down" and tends to move sideways.
After many consecutive declines, along with erratic fluctuations in the domestic and foreign markets; favorable weather, abundant supply... it is forecasted that coffee prices tomorrow will hardly increase but will tend to move sideways, "stop" the decline and continue to wait for new prices.
According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Vietnam's coffee exports in February 2025 are estimated at 150 thousand tons, worth 854 million USD, up 11.9% in volume and 17.2% in value compared to January 2025. In the first two months of the year, Vietnam exported 284 thousand tons of coffee, worth 1.58 billion USD, down 28.4% in volume but up 26.2% in value compared to the same period in 2024, due to increased export prices.
According to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), in the first two months of 2025, coffee export value reached more than 1.5 billion USD, a success that comes from the proactive export strategy of the units. In addition, foreign-invested enterprises contributed significantly, accounting for 27% of export output, 28% of green coffee turnover and up to 86% of processed coffee.
The largest markets for Vietnamese coffee remain Germany, Italy and Japan, accounting for 16.6%, 9.4% and 8.2% of market share respectively. Compared to the same period last year, export value to Germany increased by 53%, to Italy by 5.6% and to Japan by 10.4%.
Experts say that coffee is one of the most sought-after commodities on world exchanges. Currently, the price difference between Robusta and Arabica coffee is about 3,000 USD/ton. When Arabica prices increase, many roasters tend to switch to Robusta - the type of coffee that Vietnam is leading the world in exporting. This brings a great advantage, helping Vietnamese coffee prices continue to rise.
