On October 11th and 12th, the area from Quang Tri to Phu Yen, the southern Central Highlands, and the southern region will face a period of widespread heavy rain, posing a risk of flash floods and localized flooding.

Today (October 10th), the Central Highlands and Southern regions continue to experience showers and localized thunderstorms. The forecast for tonight indicates scattered showers and thunderstorms in these two regions, with some areas experiencing heavy rainfall exceeding 60mm.

The National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting warns that on October 11th and 12th, the area from Quang Tri to Phu Yen , the Southern Central Highlands, and the Southern region will experience widespread heavy rain.

Specifically, on the afternoon of October 11th, the area from Quang Tri to Phu Yen will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy to very heavy rain. From the night of October 11th to October 12th, rainfall is expected to increase in this area, with the possibility of moderate rain and thunderstorms, and many places continuing to experience heavy to very heavy rain.

The southern Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam will be more clearly affected from the afternoon of October 12th, with forecasts of moderate rain and widespread thunderstorms (locally heavy to very heavy rain is expected).

The meteorological agency advises people in these areas to closely monitor weather forecasts and be prepared for extreme weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.

The National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting predicts the weather pattern from the night of October 12th to October 20th as follows:

In the northern region, there will be scattered rain, especially in mountainous and hilly areas from around October 14th to 16th, where there is a possibility of scattered showers and thunderstorms.

The North Central and Central Central regions will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with the heaviest rainfall occurring from the night of October 12th to 13th. Moderate to scattered rain with thunderstorms is expected, with some areas experiencing heavy rain.

In the South Central region, the Central Highlands, and the Southern region, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the late afternoons and evenings, with some areas experiencing heavy rain; specifically in the Southern region, from the night of October 12th to 13th, there will be rain, moderate rain, and localized heavy rain.

The forecast for rainfall in Southern Vietnam and the Central Highlands, and the area from Quang Tri to Phu Yen on October 11th is 15-30mm, with some areas receiving over 90mm. Mountainous areas need to monitor the situation and take proactive measures to avoid landslides, as there is a risk of localized heavy rainfall exceeding 90mm in just 6 hours, potentially causing localized flooding and flash floods.
