On the evening of March 30 at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Quy Nhon City, the event celebrating the 50th anniversary of Binh Dinh Liberation Day attracted thousands of participants with a special art program.

Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai - member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly... and leaders of ministries, branches, and leaders of Binh Dinh province.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Binh Dinh province - called on all cadres and people in the province to promote revolutionary traditions and join hands to build the homeland with practical actions.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia praised and requested the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Dinh province to continue to effectively promote all resources, strive to build the province to develop rapidly and sustainably and become a leading group in the Central region.
Notably, at the ceremony, Binh Dinh province received the Third Class Independence Medal awarded by the President for its outstanding achievements in work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

After the ceremony, there was an art program with the theme “Binh Dinh - Pride and Aspiration”, through three chapters: “Heroic Epic”, “50 Years of Innovation and Development”, “Aspiration for the Land of Martial Arts”. The art program vividly recreated Binh Dinh with its thousands of years of development, the continuation of patriotism through revolutionary wars, to the journey of innovation, construction and development of the homeland.
At the program, in addition to the special performances, many audiences were delighted with the realistically recreated “fire elephant” model. According to the program director, under the strategic talent of King Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue, war elephants not only appeared on a large scale but were also equipped with strong firepower, turning them into real “tanks” on the battlefield, also known as “fire elephants”.
In the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da battle, 100 war elephants commanded by female general Bui Thi Xuan crushed the Qing army's skilled cavalry, contributing significantly to the historic victory and protecting the country.
The program also features singers such as Tung Duong, Phuong My Chi... The grand scenes are invested in grandly, combining performances, music, lighting and 3D mapping technology.
Excitedly returning to the program, Ms. Le Thi Hoa (a resident of Quy Nhon City) said: “The atmosphere today is extremely exciting. The program was very well-made and pleasing to the eye. As a resident here, I am very proud. The most impressive part was the model elephant; above it was an actor dressed as King Quang Trung, very good.”
Mr. Le Khiem (a tourist from Gia Lai) said: “Binh Dinh seems to be more bustling these days. With a 2-day stay, my wife and I came here tonight to watch and felt that the program was elaborately staged, showing the culture and people of Binh Dinh.”
